I also have a 2015 Axpert and recently (successfully) upgraded the firmware to Coulomb's one (LFP flavor). March 4, 20206 yr Hi there. I stumbled over this thread while trying to get a Pylon US2000 to talk to a axpert 5k, same as Johan Smit. I'm using it mainly as a UPS for running PC and router during outage. i used the link for the 73.00e firmware update and the folder had dsp_LF1_73.00e.hex file in it, but running the update software only lets me use the dsp.hex file. i think i almost bricked the inverter trying to use the LF1 file. i dont see a LFP option in the battery profile, is there some sort of magic sauce needed to get it to work? thanks in advance

That's how the reflash tool is written, it looks for the fixed name dsp.hex. We provide the zip file with the same contents in dsp.hex as in dsp_LF1_73.00e.hex. You select Battery Type (setting 05) as USR, then provide suitable values in settings 02, 26, 27, 29, 12, and 13. I'm away from keyboard at the moment, but there are several posts with the magic numbers for PylonTechs.
March 6, 20206 yr @Coulomb Thank you Sir. just hooked up the US2000 with 73.00e firmware. there was a bit of a wobble at the end of the update.( was rather slow at 8 blocks/s) when i tried to switch off, and on, it didn't want to and it became unresponsive. So i tried to update firmware again, which it did, meaning the MCU was still kicking ( there was some swearing involved for motivation). after some digging on the forum i decided to try these settings for my setup, similar to Mr Johan Smit out 1 utl tot 2 10A InP 3 UPS SAu 4 SdS bAt 5 uSr oLr 6 Lrd otr 7 trE out 9 50hz utL 11 10A b2u 12 46V u2b 13 51V ChG 16 utl bEP 18 bon LCd 19 HEP Llt 20 Lon ALM 22 Aon oLb 23 bYE rEC 25 FEn AbS 26 51.8V FLo 27 50.4V PAr 28 SnG Cut 29 47.5V SoL 30 onE bAL 31 Sbd AbS 32 Aut nEC 38 dlS I do not have solar on my system (for shame, i have 6m^2 of roof space facing north and rest of the house is faving east west at a horrid A frame angle.) so thats why I went with the guess on the settings above. I will be getting a copy of ICC and try get the pylon cable to interface with ICC (if there is ever stock again). thanks again.

It sounds like your comms board is marginal. Lots of retrying, and too many retries near the end, so it failed. Good on you for persisting. Please pardon the formatting below, your table of settings has weird invisible characters in it. Quote tot 2 10A utL 11 10A Those could go up to 20 A, to charge the battery twice as fast, yet under the 25 A maximum. Quote b2u 12 46V u2b 13 51V Those are very low. But if you want to run the battery as long as possible in a load shedding situation, and won't be in battery mode unless load shedding, I guess that's OK unless or until you add solar panels.
