Darth Vader
I have 2 PT US3000's in a cabinet and I want to add another one. The problem is that I don't have space to stack the 3rd one on top of the other 2, so I need to put it next to each other. What is the maximum length of interconnect cables one can buy? I found a cable pack with 2m cables but is looks like the cables going to the inverter, not the interconnect set. Has anybody done this before? Youda
Hi @Darth Vader the standard 2m cable pack is really intended for connection to the inverter. There are SurLok on one end, and standard lugs on the other. The cheapest way is to buy this cable pack, create another set of two batteries and then connect all of them in paralel at the inverter. Or, you can buy the SurLok lugs and crimp your own cables as I explained some time ago: https://powerforum.co.za/topic/2322-youdas-off-grid-lab/page/3/?tab=comments#comment-63093
Darth Vader
Thanks, I had a look at mouser website and the Surlok lugs are not too expensive, the shipping just kills it.
Youda
Last time I was ordering from mouser, there was someting like "free shipping for all orders over 50 USD". Is it still working? Anyway, I'm sure that some other "RadioShack" eshops will have these lugs too...
