Posted January 10, 20205 yr Hi Coulomb I managed to clear my serial numbers off my inverters when flashing them to the latests firmware, i know you guys are rather active with that so wondering if you may be able to assist? I have read around and understood someone had a similar issue, and there was a tool, but i wasn't able to find any links, they also spoke of a command, but did not specify what the command was. They used to be fine before, It's not really the end of the world, but it does make it much easier for me to display the data correctly on Grafana i use SOLAR-SIS to read them and my US3000+US2000 to INFLUX, i then read that data to Node-Red, and i am then able to control the inverters from Hass.io Is there a tool or procedure to restore them to what's on the side that you guys are aware of? I have 2 x pip4048 setup in PAR Thanks for all the great work you guys have done on the firmware. I also have a Error 09 and 08 that pops up, but i am unable to identify exactly when it happens. It seems if i have SOL ONLY + SOL BAL enabled that it occurs a lot, especially if the grid returns under those conditions, i would assume it falls under bus volt HIGH. It seems running the unit in SBU, and doing time based switching does not create the error (well for the last week anyway) These are prob late 2015 models. But i wanted to have the right firmware for the Pylons

Ick. I've not heard of that happening after a firmware update. 1 hour ago, Cybertza said: I have read around and understood someone had a similar issue, and there was a tool, but i wasn't able to find any links, they also spoke of a command, but did not specify what the command was. There is a tool and a command. Unfortunately, the tool is specific to a certain serial number, so you can't use anyone else's copy; it has to come from the manufacturer. My understanding is that the tool merely sends two commands, perhaps only one for the case of a PIP-4048. The problem is that the main command requires 20 digits, and only 14 are displayed on your label. How to generate the last 6 digits is unknown. My guess is that a PIP-4048 that came from the factory with firmware less than (not equal to) 73.00 won't care what those last 6 digits are, but I can't be certain. If you are willing to try updating your serial numbers, and have the ability to send commands with CRCs, PM me for the details. It will include a guess for the last 6 digits. I don't want to post this publicly, since it could help clone makers avoid the error 90 problem. 1 hour ago, Cybertza said: I also have a Error 09 and 08 that pops up, but i am unable to identify exactly when it happens. I've not heard of an error 09 that is recoverable. Is this (error code 09) only on startup? 1 hour ago, Cybertza said: But i wanted to have the right firmware for the Pylons I assume that you realise that PIP-4048s will never talk directly to PylonTech batteries, as they don't have the required RS-485 port.
