I have the Axpert MKS II 5K with no battery(still saving and deciding) connected to 8*275w panels
(all in series)

Sometimes at sunset or sunrise the transition is smooth but other time it beeps and drops the entire load with no error message.

I have turned setting 22 (Beeps while primary source is interrupted.) to “Off” so it is not that beep

Is there a way to tell the MKS not to expect or look for a battery (if this is the problem)?

Or is there a way to set a cut-off and not try get power from the panels if there is under a certain ceiling available (50w or 100w let’s say or under a certain PV voltage perhaps)?

Do you think this issue will disappear if I just get a battery or is this a deeper problem with some power board or something?

Thanks

Hi, The guy said he smelled that electronic burnt smell, and replaced the mppt board and then the main board. Not sure if they just replace until it works or if there was something wrong with both modules, but i'm happy and it is working great so far.
