My instinct tells me the 2 different directions should be on 2 separate strings, one in each of the MPPTs. I don't suppose you could build a frame facing north?

I would say 4 banks of 2 is better because of the peak current in your cables(so it is 100 amp per stack 50 amp per battery). I think the problem with the first arrangement is you can't guarantee they will share the current equally (it could be 200amp in the one set and 0 amp in the other), everyone is saying it is wrong, I thought so too, but I just saw it recommended in the LV-HUB manual(https://portal.segensolar.co.za/reseller/docs/LV Hub Application Note.pdf) which you might need if you are using CAN-BUS.... Hi, The guy said he smelled that electronic burnt smell, and replaced the mppt board and then the main board. Not sure if they just replace until it works or if there was something wrong with both modules, but i'm happy and it is working great so far. Michael

I have the Axpert MKS II 5K with no battery(still saving and deciding) connected to 8*275w panels (all in series) Sometimes at sunset or sunrise the transition is smooth but other time it beeps and drops the entire load with no error message. I have turned setting 22 (Beeps while primary source is interrupted.) to “Off” so it is not that beep Is there a way to tell the MKS not to expect or look for a battery (if this is the problem)? Or is there a way to set a cut-off and not try get power from the panels if there is under a certain ceiling available (50w or 100w let’s say or under a certain PV voltage perhaps)? Do you think this issue will disappear if I just get a battery or is this a deeper problem with some power board or something? Thanks

The problem might be that you called it an isolation transformer, just ask for an air cooled 3Kva transformer and when they ask primary voltage say 230 and 15 amp and when they ask secondary say 230 and 15 amp, or if they ask for the ratio say 1:1. Hi I have the Axpert MKS II 5K and I can get the display to show PV input in Watts while showing output Voltage, Or Battery Voltage and output power but what I want is PV input power and total output power. I can already make it carry on displaying what is on the screen, I did that by changing parameter 19. Thanks in advance Michael
