February 23, 20206 yr Evening, I have a spf3000tl, and 4x100ah batteries, i have purchased 3 x 380w panels, should i connect the panel string in series or parallel for the best setup on such a small scale.
February 24, 20206 yr Author Sorry its a 3000w 48v growatt inverter, i have connected the 3 panels in parallel ut it is not showing any pv power, any help would be greatly appreciated
February 24, 20206 yr Hope this helps. Just another noob. But assuming you have this inverter below, if so, just double-check the voltage specs of your panels (you didn't mention the brand or specs), if they are meeting the operating voltage range for the MPPT. Say for example if you have got a 380W panel that outputs for argument's sake 40V, then if you've got them all in parallel, you won't be meeting the 60V minimum, just the said 40V. See highlighted sections below. Try to put just two panels in series first at say 80V to check if that works. Whatever final panel configurations you set up, try to keep the panel output to within the inverter's required range.
February 24, 20206 yr Author Thanks for the response, yes that was the issue. Switched to 2 panels in series and the array started supplying power, need to get another panel now. The Journey begins... Edited February 24, 20206 yr by SeanC
