Axpert grid charging time for Pylontec 3000

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I have an Axpert 5kva inverter, 6x330W panels and a Pylontec 3000 (3.5kv).

I have a question about the charging time through the grid/inverter when the panels are not producing power, what is the approximate charging time it would take from low voltage to fully recharged? At the moment my battery is not charging fully overnight if its low at the end of the day even though the grid is on all night which seems unreasonable.

The battery charges within 2hrs through solar in full sun conditions. I was wondering if there was a setting on the inverter which needs to be changed to speed up the grid charging? (note: its does charge just very slowly).

Thanks

@ Rusti. The recommended charging rate is 37 amps . The inverter can only be set in values of 10 .

Setting no 2 maximum charging solar plus grid set at 30 amp .

Setting no 11 maximum charging for grid set at 30 amp .

Battery should charge from grid in about 2 hours .

Ok, that was the problem, it was set to charge at 2A on utility. I have changed and will see how it goes. Thanks again Chris.
