Inverter

Featured Replies

I am having a 600W inverter, pure sign wave with the input of 24V DC. I have supplied it with 24V from the batteries but the output power/voltage is 20V AC. It doesnt show any alarm and no fuse is open. What can be the cause.

I have broken more things than I fixed so hopefully someone more qualified will be able to help you but I suspect there is probably a fault related to a transformer (the inverter is probably outputting the voltage of the 24V battery minus some losses for ineffeciency of converting DC to AC).

By the way, it will possibly help other members if you include details like the make and model of the inverter, batteries etc.

Is the voltage of your battery collapsing under load?

Even so, 20 VAC is extremely low. Are you totally confident of your measurement? You don't have the meter on a DC range, or misreading the decimal point?
