July 6, 20206 yr PLEASE ASSIST! We have 5kva synerji inverter and 2 x 2.4 us2000 pylontech batteries. What does warning E9 message mean? Can someone please explain this? After sunset batteries go to 2 lights and utility will maintain that up until the morning. Tonight however it seems that E9 warning is on the inverter display and utility is taking the battery right up to full. Why the sudden change in how the system works? Thanks.

It's possible that the installers intended this, but more likely, it's some sort of error or misunderstanding. Certainly, Pylontech batteries do not need or generally want traditional equalisation, but they may be using equalisation (with much lower battery voltage than usual) to overcome the premature float bug that affects all unpatched Axperts, and presumably also work-alikes like the Synerjis. But usually if that's the case, equalisation would be set up to operate every day, or at least every few days. Please check all the equalisation settings; in an Axpert these would be settings 32-39, and especially the equalisation voltage setting, which on an Axpert would be setting 34. This should be no more than 53.2 V, and preferably lower, like 52.5 V. 2 hours ago, Claire said: Why the sudden change in how the system works? Because that's how equalisation is set up for flooded lead acid batteries: you over-charge them for an hour or two every 30-60 days; the frequency that equalisation happens is one of the settings (setting 37, equalisation interval, on Axperts).
