July 29, 20206 yr On our farm we have different solar setups. 2 of them have backup generators. The Microcare setup works perfect with the generator. We simply start the gen and it takes the load as well as charge the batteries. But we simply cannot get the Axpert/Mecer to do the same? It shows the presence of AC input on the LCD but do nothing. And when the batteries are flat and the system shut of starting the generator does nothing? I have changed some settings that seems like it could relate to the priority of the power source but still no joy. What could i be doing wrong?

What it's called varies from model to model; for most it's called UtI (Utility first output source priority). It helps to have setting 03 (AC input voltage range) to APL (the default). Is the AC-input icon (sine wave in a circle) on solid or flashing?
