March 15, 20215 yr Hi All I am commissioning a Sunsynk 8KW with a Hubble AM2 while waiting for my PV's. At the monent I have a very expensive UPS. When I cut the power to the inverter the switchover to battery is seamless. However when the power is switched on to the inverter the earth leakage trips after the anti islanding relay breaks contact. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I have put my circuit diagram below.
March 15, 20215 yr Author The earth leakage that trips is the QF1 which is the Grid in Earth Leakage.
March 15, 20215 yr The inverter shouldn't be fed by an EL. The EL should be downstream of the Inverter

The inverter should be fed by a double pole circuit breaker (fed directly from the mains) sized in accordance with the cable used and the inverter limits.
March 15, 20215 yr Author Thank you I will remove it as I already have an overload breaker before the Earth Leakage unit.
March 15, 20215 yr I had the same problem today ... I connected a 5 kva RCT inverter to a socket outlet (as a temp. supply to test and setup the unit before delivering to site) ... because the neutral and earth are bonded at the inverter output ... it will trip the mains earth leakage feeding the socket outlet ... so to setup the unit ... I removed the neutral earth bridge (which will be reconnected before the unit is delivered to site). Edited March 15, 20215 yr by isetech
