June 22, 20215 yr I have two 12v AGM batteries connected in series to give the required output of 24v connected to a 3Kva Expert king inverter tied to the grid with no solar panels. The unit is for backup purposes only. The voltage settings on the inverter are 22 volts min and a 27 volt maximum. As we can go for weeks without a power outage is it necessary to have the inverter charging the batteries even thou the batteries are not being used. My question is should I disconnect the batteries and switch off the inverter for a two or three days a week... Thanks in advance..
June 25, 20215 yr It keeps the batteries at float. What are you hoping to accomplish by disconnecting it? Edited June 25, 20215 yr by Gnome
