  1. Thanks for the feedback...dont really want to spend more money on this issue by getting a shunt..guess I will live with it :)
  2. HI....did you ever manage to connect the Victron MPPT to the Solarassist. I have almost the same config of inverter/MPPT/Solarassist.... what a struggle !
  3. Has anybody had any success with connecting these two together? I have the Victron's VE.Direct cable to a Raspberry PI running Solarassistant. I suspect the two just dont talk to each other so maybe I should look at another monitoring system? Thanks
  4. malheureusement, le propriétaire est décédé - j'ai donc lu sur le forum
  5. Hi..thanks for the advice on options to ICC. Sorry to hear about Manie !
  6. Seems Whatapps go through - but never read. Something amiss here..
  7. Hi My ICC Monitoring stopped a month or so ago. Emails and calls go unanswered. Anybody know if they are still in business? Their web site is still active.... Thanks
  8. Thanks Chris. So leave the 2 x 370 in parallel to the inverter. Configure the 2x470 in series - to the MPPT controller. The busbar with fuses to the battery - in parallel with the inverter battery?
  9. Greetings. I have a 3kva Mecer inverter. It has limitations with its VoC on how many panels can connect. I have 2 x 370w (parallel) with 2x470w (parallel). Both strings in parallel. Each located differently to avoid building shadows as the sun moves. Its not optima,l as in parallel the lower 370w panels take preference and I cannot change to the config to series due to the limited VoC. I was thinking of using a Victron 100/30 MPPT controller then rewiring 2x 370w (series) and 2x470w (series) and then both strings in parallel. The question is on the output of the MPPT, will it connect directly to the batteries or to the PV input on the Inverter? The solar panels run the house during sunshine so not sure if connecting direct to batteries will still allow this Thanks in advance
  10. Thanks for the info. Might be easier to sell the 3000w and get a 5000w with an MPPT controller built in. A shame as the 3000w is only 6 months old.
  11. Hi have a Mecer/Axpert Sol-I-AX-3VP 3kw unit. Max VoC=80v and Operating Voltage Range of 30-32v. Its a PWM model). Currently running 4 x panels in parallel. (370w / Voc-48.7v / VmP-39.4v) I want to add more 4 more panels also in parallel ( 540w / VoC-49.6v / VmP-41.64v). Will these extra panels with the different VoC and VmP work ok? Thanks Ian
  12. Greetings...I have U3 01 07. Inverter is about 1 year old. This morning it did the same thing...it froze up/switched it self off, but with no Error code. A hard reset sorted it out
  13. Hi..I have this Axpert/Mecer 3kva inverter. Connected to 2 x 100a batteries and 4 x 375w panels. The average load is under about 400w. Every now and then the Inverter switches off totally- goes into fault mode and generates and undocumented Error Code 20 I suspect its to do with switching between solar and AC Power - when the sky clouds over, then opens up again. Just a suspicion. The only way to recover is to do a hard reset...cut all power to the inverter including from the batteries...and reconnect. Any idea whats going on here? Thanks Ian
  14. Thanks for your reply. Very interesting. I have also managed to get hold of the SA distributors who have in turn, requested info from the manufacturer in Taiwan. If I receive any info of value on this, I will let you know...otherwise, all I can do is a long shot or turning the fans to blow inward.
