Yes the alarm jumps between 03 and 36 on the inverter screen.

My model is an ES,it only has the CAN port and the 485 port at the bottom. I am not at home currently but will send you the serial number of the battery this evening when I get home.

@Dyness should I try the CAN cable on inverter with the CAN port and not RS485? Should the setting be on program 5 Li and on program 36 L01?

@Dyness I have mine connected with the BMS cable that is connected to battery and connected with RS485 on inverter. Has been working fine and suddenly starting to show battery over charge warning on the fault codes. What might be the problem?

Thats awesome,I looked at that but it was just too much money once off. So I am buying the 2.4kwh seperately and just connecting each new one. For that weight it will need to be a strong bracket...

Yes that is correct. On the RS485 it is protocol 1,and that is the only 1 I see people talking about. On the CAN port I havent seen the dyness on yet and I pressume the dip switches must also change on the CAN port?

If I understand correctly it can only be on protocol 01,that is the only setting it seems to work correctly on. @tetrasection I got the updates you send,thanks, if I want to install them what steps do I follow?

No I dont have solar on yet. I plan to but hopefully dont habe the same problem. Maybe you should get the firmware upgrade?

Thank you. I also send them a message on the app last week but no response in helping me. Everything seems to be working fine now but if the new firmware is better,why not.

Mine is the same as this one. I would think it is the newer firmware,because the inverter is only 1 month old?

I got it working on Li mode in setting number 5 and on protocol 01. Number 2 and 3 dipswitch set on on the battery and I got a cable with the battery for the SPF 5000 es battery and using port RS485 on inverter and seems to be working fine now.havent tested it with loadshedding yet so will see how it does. How do I check which firmware the inberter has on?

Hi @Igubu I received 2 comm cables with my Dyness battery,1 that is completely black and 1 that is black but have 1 orange head. The orange 1 is stated using for the growatt spf 5000 es that i have. I connected it to the battery in port and to inverter RD485 and not the can. Looks like it is working now,will see what happens when loadshedding returns.

Hi. I have a Growatt SPF 5000 ES inverter connected to a dyness 2.4 kw battery with comms cable. Which plug do I use on the inverter for the comms cable? And on the inverter setting 5 when I put it on li ion setting,after that on which protocol setting do I put it for that specific battery? How will I know it is communicating with the battery?
