charl got a reaction from Chris Louw in Panels for 3kw Mecer InverterOk. So after disconnecting all the panels. And connecting one back. It started to charge the power the load. And charge the battery a little
I then connected a second panel in parallel and it is now charging the battery. But the cloud link does not register the solar.
It is a very cloudy day. But seems the 2 panels are generating around 50% power. so seems right. I'll add the other 2 panels one at a time in parallel. This will be under the 50amps

charl got a reaction from Yellow Measure in Shaded solar panelsThank you all for your replies
My panels are on adjustable stands, I have them at 35 degrees now in winter, and dropped them to 15 degrees in summer. I think the best options would be to reconfigure my panels in 2S4P possibly even with a disconnect for the 2 end panels for winter. I'm not sure if they would drop the production of the entire system
Unfortunately I don't have any more space on my roof at the moment, Ill have a look into the solar optimizer

charl got a reaction from Chris Hobson in solar to axpert 3kvaHere are some pics of my instalation today. Got the 2 panels up and connected in series. I only completed it at about 3pm. Was generating around 350watts from the 600. I'm intrested to see what they generate tomorrow in peek sun.
The panels are facing more north East than true north. So don't think I'll get the best full days power from them
