Good Day Setting for charging 48v Lithium 120a battery is on 60A Also set on SOL Battery setting US2 (No BMS communication) Two parallel strings of 6 panels (390w each in series) This morning used belt sander, afterwards air compressor 50l (not for long, about 20 minutes) I got a funny smell from the batteries and the fuse box 160a on each terminal was quite hot as well as negative and positive going to inverter, think this is off the charging. Is this normal Thanks Deon

Hi, I got the battery with a BMS but it does not work and no one can tell how that specific one works as I bout it second hand. Connected to a 5000w Growatt inverter and set the battery setting to USE2 setting( Lithium without BMS). I set the charge to 70A and it charges OK and cut the charge off at 53v. But the volts. It drop in a few seconds from 53 to 49.5 then it remain for quite some time if the load is not high (500-700w) I am not sure how it charges and if it the inverter balance the cells. That is why I was thinking of to open the battery box and take that BMS off and put a BMS on like you did Maybe it will be safer and I can get more out of the battery. Thanks Deon

Hi Everyone, Mecer 5kva inverter does not pick up the battery. Had lightning and high surge damaged the board. Mecer says it is going to cost R7000 to replace the MAIN PCB ASSY V II 5K (same as 31-550264-05G/31- 550264-01G) This is almost a new inverter Any suggestion on how to fix this for cheaper Thanks Deon

Hi Thanks for your help I am not that good but will give it a try What will happen if I connect only one battery and take all work load off and let the solar or Eskom charge for a day or two Will this not help to get it out of idle mode Currently I got the 4 batteries connected to the 5kva Mecer inverter with 12 x 390w pannels, at peak it gives 3kw but only for about 2 hours. The load during daytime is between 800w to 1.6kw At 17h00 the batteries are at roughly 49.1v, sometimes little bit more and running about 700w through the night and standing then at 48.4v in the morning I cannot really draw high watt appliances at night, then it drops quickly to 47v Do you think I can get more out of them Thanks

Morning I bought titanate 5.8kw battery second hand Cannot get BMS to work, shows 0v although Mecer 5000kva does charge but I do not know if it charges correctly Anyone who also has this battery Thanks

Hi, I recently installed 12 x 390w (2 strings of 6 panels )JAVA panels with 5000w Mecer inverter Currently the total input from panels never goes higher that 2900w. Will it go up in the summer or can I add more panels The MECER inverter got 4500w MPPT Thanks Deon
