  1. Thanks very much for your responses. Yes the controller is shutting the pump off, but as an overload error and not a run dry condition. The pump is running fine but it is still under warranty. I do not not want the pump to break, because of this condition, once the warranty expires.
  2. Thanks for the answer. Sorry that was a typo, I meant amps not volts
  3. Hi, I have a Johntech 0.55 kw borehole pump. When it runs dry the voltage increases rather than decreases. This indicates an overload condition. I am using a M521 intelligent pump controller Can anybody please confirm that this is normal or is the pump faulty? Many Thanks
  4. Could someone please give me an idea of the maximum percentage I should charge the Dyness BX51100 5.12 kw battery.
  5. Thanks very much FixAMess - I am using a BMS connection.
  6. I have a Dyness BX51100 lithium battery and I would to request some advice on the impact of charging on the battery life. My solar charge on a sunny day is more than enough to run my house and charge the battery, however on a cloudy day the battery is discharged and charged many times in the day. What affect will this have on my battery cycles and lifetime? Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
  7. Sorry for the late response. I am not sure if the settings are the same. Are you setting code 05 on the Inverter to 'USE' or 'LI'? If 'USE" then the battery manual will give you the parameter settings for the inverter. If 'LI' then I can send the settings for the BMS connection I am using. I am going back to the 'USE' setting as the battery is not charging correctly with 'LI'
  8. Sorry, the installer did complete the full installation but it is just the comms that is tripping us up.
  9. Thank you Dyness. Should the DIP settings on the battery all be off and the cable connect to the Growatt inverter via the 'BMS port' . The code on the inverter will be set to 05 - LI and code 36 - L52. This is for CAN and not RS485, is this correct? I get the 04 error when the DIP has pin 2 and pin 3 "ON" (according to the manual) and I connect to the Growatt inverter on the "485 port". The code on the inverter is set to 05 - LI and code 36 - L01 (RS485) I am so sorry for the basic questions. My installer is just not getting it right, and is not responding to my requests for assistance. Many Thanks GarthW
  10. Thanks very much @Buyeye. The DIP switch setting specifically states RS485 It states: 'If the battery communicates with the Growatt SPF ES by RS485 communication turn the master switch "#2" and "#3" to "On"' With this in mind should I still use the CAN port and protocol 52 with that DIP switch setting? Please would you send me the link to the Video you mentioned
  11. I have just installed the above setup. It all works fine in the day with solar but stops working at about 1:00 AM every morning. It seems that the grid does not kick in when the battery runs low. Has anyone connected the BMS communication for this configuration? When I set the code 05 on the inverter to 'LI' and the code 36 to protocol to L01 I get an 04 error code. The battery is charged to above 75%. I have setup the correct DIP switch for the inverter. (for RS485) I am currently using the 'USE' setting on code 05 and I have set the appropriate dyness settings on the inverter (From the dyness manual). Inverter codes 12, 13, 19 and 20.) Any help will be greatly appreciated. Garth Waters
