@Nexuss that is a good point which I did not consider, will move it mid May and use a junction box with a male and female connector like the ones for the panels. I'd estimate 37K for 10 more panels with brackets

Hi all, in late February this year I installed my solar system with the help of my gardeners with a small add on of two more batteries in March The system is also connected to my 10kw 3phase genset which came in use last week during the floods 1 x 12 kw Deye 3phase Inverter 6 x 5.5kw Hubble batteries 16 x 455w Art Solar panels facing South East (only realised this today. App i used was not calibrated) 1 x 250amp fuse holder 40 meters 1.5mm shielded 8 core cable for the CT's 100 meters DC cable for panel Hager change over switch Earth wire is two 4mm cables for panels and inverter etc. Alot of labels I also added a smart device to tell me when the grid supply is gone and a smart smoke detector Majority of the electrical items was bought from North Side Electrical Signal cable from Actsys Next upgrade Electrician to do COC, to add 10 more panels, move one sting to face North and make each sting of 13 pannels and install trunking for battery 5 and 6 My only concern is the earth spike for the solar is 1 meter away from the generator earth spike and 2 meters away from the earth spike for the electric fence Thoughts and opinions welcome

Thanks 14% off your value given my panels are facing the wrong direction is not bad. I'll have to wait awhile spent quite alot on solar in February even though I installed it myself and now have flood damage to deal with atm. Hopping insurance does not give me a hard time Battery SOC and consumption for today

😖 So this app does not work Perhaps I can put a junction box to extend the dc cables and relocate 8 panels this winter and add another 5 pannels at a later stage to pv1

Can you walk me through this process? Do I use my clamp meter, disconnect the panel and check each panel DC voltage? will this not change if a cloud covers it while I test it? Why would both strings have the same voltage if 1 panel was faulty in a string?

March Total consumption 909kw Production 661.2kw Panels face North For March i had 4 x 5.5kw Hubble batteries. Set at 30% to stop supply from battery and 20% shutdown if no power to site Since last week, post floods I installed 2 more 5.5kw batteries so i currently have 6 with the same settings

I have now separated them - mppt 1 8 panels in parallel and mppt2 8 panel in parallel Currently Mppt 1 312v 1.16kw Mppt 2 310v 1.12kw Both on the same pitch of the room with no shedding facing north

Hi all, Im looking for confirmation on what the ideal / best configuration to get the most of my solar I currently have the following 1 x 12 kw Deye inverter 16 x 450w panels from ArtSolar ( currently set as PV 1a PV 1b) average 315 v Inverter PV Input Voltage(V) 550V (160V~800V) MPPT Range(V) 200V-650V Start-up Voltage(V) 160V PV Input Current(A ) 25A+12.5A No. of MPPT Trackers 2 No. of Strings Per MPPT Tracker 2+1 Panel Vmp 41.5v Imp 10.84 Voc 49.3v Isc 11.6a Am I correct in saying I cannot exceed 650v per string and I should use V0c valve from the panel 650v / 49.3v = 13 panels (640,9v) per sting? 13 panels would effectively give me 539.5v The reason for my question is that ive been averaging 3kw from solar and only peeked twice at 5.25kw since March 2022 and it does not supply enough to charge my 6 5.5kw batteries and supply the house. If I move my sting 2 from MPPT 1b to MPPT 2 would it produce more?

Per the product specifications I require the following 60mm dc cable 300 dc fuse And set the inverter per the attached. I will call Hubble on Monday to confirm this and to enquire if the Cloudlink will work with the 12kw inverter

Thank you guys I'm using 95mm cables and plan on using the 250A fuse with limiting the inverter In the future I might add 1 or 2 more batteries. Would I need to upgrade the cable for this to get the most efficiency of the system

I dont understand why x = max dc charge/ use x 1.35 If max is 240 should one not have a fuse for said max to protect items?

The price is not the concern as I buy them directly from Electro Mechanica. I want to put the correct one. If they all in parallel that means I have a capacity of 400amps. But I am still limited to the inverter which can do a max 240A. So I think the correct way is to install a 250A which protects the inverter. Since the disconnect switch has fuses. By the time it blows the 400A fuse it more than likely would have damaged the inverter

I have a 12kw Deye inverter which has a max charge and discharge rate of 240A. I will be installing 4 x 5.5kw Hubble batteries. 100a each. The batteries will be connected in parallel Do I install a 250A disconnect switch or a 400A disconnect switch?

12kw Deye inverter using grid but is it?
The inverter display says I'm off grid. When I use my amp meter on the breaker feeding the inverter it shows I'm using a few amps per phase. I have a Efergy 3 phase meter and it too says I'm using power from the grid. Both the Efergy and Deye CT's are on the main breaker to my panel. All items that are not on the inverter was off at the breaker. What am I doing wrong or is this normal?
