  1. Interesting to see that some of the Sunsynk inverters have a small glass/perspex panel covering the PCB while others don't? Mine didn’t have that. 5Kw inverter.
  2. Have the same issue, sent the wifi plug PCB to Sunsynk JHB on 21 February 2025, they had stock of the PCBs then, but still have not heard back from them. And I still have not received a replacement PCB from them. If you opt to remove C9, then surely you must replace it with another, as it must have a function on the PCB?
  3. I've had my Sunsynk 5.5kW inverter and 2 x Hubble AM-5 batteries with the Cloudlink device now for 3 months. Hubble in Cape Town has still not come up with any resolve to date. Which means the device purchased and advertised by Hubble that it works with SunSynk inverters and their AM-5 batteries - is unfit for its purpose as result of Hubble not sorting out their software issues for the Cloudlink. The cabling of the Cloudlink was done 100% correctly as instructed by Hubble support. So I am at the point of returning it - via the installer I purchased it from and getting a refund as its only 3 months old, and Hubble cant seem to find a solution for the problem. I still want to monitor whats going on in my AM-5 batteries (separately) and the BMS. Because the batteries were the most expensive part of the set-up. And the Sunsynk inverter app cant give me that info. Its only gives you the very basic combined status data of the 2 batteries. Because the Cloudlink doesnt work with the AM-5 batteries I cant get that data now. Has anyone on this forum with the very same setup (AM-5 batteries and not AM-2's + Sunsynk inverter) ever got their Cloudlink to work as it should? It can't just be my new set-up surely.
  4. As you can see mine is still dead as brick...no data from anywhere. But AM-5s and not AM-2s. While my SunSynk app works perfectly. But I wanted the Hubble Cloudlink as well. Installer and I are still waiting for Hubble to sort out their issues with the AM-5 comms. Which by Hubble's own admission is a fault on their side - software developer issues. Its been more than a month.
  5. Thats interesting, mine hasn't been working since it was installed. Sunsynk inverter with Hubble AM5s. And what I wrote earlier was direct from Hubble. They still have not sorted it out, and my inverters firmware was updated and all cabling confirmed correct by Hubble. What inverter and Hubble batteries have you got installed? If you have the same as mine at a site, then Hubble Cape Town is giving me and our installer the runaround, or sold us a dud, if other users with the same hardware and latest firmware have Cloudlinks that work.
  6. scamdoc not reliable to use in RSA, it gives many false positives on SA domains of legit businesses.
  7. RIOT Cloudlink hasn't been working for weeks now. Apparently an R&D developer issue at Hubble in PE. No ETA as to when its going to work again, according to Hubble.
  8. Hubble Cloudlink has not worked since I purchased AM5 batteries with a new installation, and adding the Cloudlink device to the system also. Its set-up correctly, connects to our network, but Hubble says they are having developer issues, and no ETA as to when the problem will be resolved. Not impressed at all - so far.
  9. 👌 My bad, google took me to the wrong URL... eish. I'll contact them, thanks.
  10. @YellowTapemeasure I need a reliable installer and supplier of Luxpower in Cape Town, an installer with Luxpower experience and not just an online store that sells or advertises the hardware. Its clear this industry is full of traps..people trying to cash in fast, on the desperation the ESKOM saga has caused, and vanish. And powerforumstore doesnt sell Luxpower. just Kodak, SunSynk and Solis hybrid inverters.
  11. Hi all Its a mine field out there to find ethical installers that are not scamsters it seems. I'm looking for an installer/supplier in Cape Town area, with contactable references and who understands and has experience with LXP Luxpower inverters, and can install them properly with the battery and PV panels. And who will do a proper site inspection before installing. For optimal placement of PVs on site. I want to have this bundle installed. 1 x 5 kW LUX POWER Hybrid Inverter LUX-LXP5K-LV 1 x 5.12 kWh Dyness Battery 6 x JA Solar panels 545W Mono I've heard from a couple of people who are very happy with the LuxPower inverters. And the LXP Hybrid can take more PV Wattage than SunSync's. About 2000W more. So they look like a pretty decent option compared to other brands currently on the market. SolarSonic in Cape Town is selling Luxpower also. I'll avoid SolarSupply that links to Luxpower.co.za as it seems they are a scam - read elsewhere on this forum. Please offer some recommendations for the above. If you have had Luxpower installed yourself.
  12. Thanks for the warning... almost used them. 😑 I'm looking for a reliable Luxpower supplier and installer in Cape Town, its a mine field.
  13. Has anybody else have experience with one of these. We recently purchased one and it just keeps on beeping (4 beep silence - 4 beeps silence ...all the time) as soon as load shedding kicks in and it switches from mains supply to battery supply. Surely inverters should not continuously beep after switching to battery power mode. Its brand new. The manual says 4 beeps = Battery pack high voltage alarm (which I would imagine is an warning alarm, of possibly faulty float charging? ) One cant make any changes on the charger side of this inverter - its all preset by the unit. Not accessible to the user.
  14. I have the same problem with the same IDS system. Have to keep on replacing 1 x 12V 7Ah as result of the high number of load shedding cycles killing the batteries. Two possible solutions. 2 x Forbatt 8Ah 12Volt Lead Acid Gel connected in parallel will double your Ah value. So 12V 16Ah instead of 1 x 12V 8Ah. They just wont fit inside the IDS box. Or - and I did speak to BlueNova about this. They have a replacement Lithium battery (Blue nova 12v 8ah lithium) and they recon you dont need to modify the charger of the IDS alarm to charge their BlueNova battery, so its a drop in replacement. But its pretty pricey - about 3 times the price of one lead acid or gel 12V 7ah. The Lithium battery will be able to discharge further than any lead acid battery can. Without issues.
