11kw max 100a charge limit per inverter
Hi Kuba.cz, thank you for this, I just checked and I am using the 273.63 firmware as modified by Coulomb on this forum, and it works great for my setup and number of panels including avoiding the stuck at 90v glitch. Would it be possible to to have this patched to avoid the battery limitation charge for 100amps, I have three battery banks in parallel each about 14kwh each. I am not sure the firmware you patched above (278.07) would fit my system, again the 273.63 works well except for the battery charge limit. Thank you in advance. Would be good if you also set up a "buy me a coffee" or a patron link so we can express gratitude and donate for your work.

11kw max 100a charge limit per inverter
Hi Lada.cb, sorry for not replying earlier as I have been travelling, my inverter is tommatech 11kw, I have a lot of panels split into two separatestrings East and west 18x450w +18x450w, so this time in summer in Europe the inverter between 10am and 3pm can reach and stay all the time at 11kw max which may be the reason for the heating, also the current reaches also the max 17amps per string and gets capped. I have added external fans outside the inverter on top of the existing inbuilt ones, I believe they help but still inverter reached 85 degrees C then reduces power till it goes down to 75 C and again and again

11kw max 100a charge limit per inverter
Yes, same with me, early mornings I get for about half hour sometimes up to 130-140 amps charging current for the batteries, then it caps at 100 amps . Possibly due to the restrictions discussed before, my inverter often goes to 85 degrees centigrade then cools to 75 and again, and both my strings go to high PV voltage >400 volts (2p x 9s x450v PV panels on each of the two strings situated East/West. I am tempted to request firmware re-write but concerned about possible safety issues as the inverter works at its max late morning and early afternoon at 11000 W. My batteries are around 43kwh.

11kw max 100a charge limit per inverter
Hi CJB, welcome to the forum. Sorry to jump in but this topic is specific to an Inverter model being limited at 100amps when charging batteries. I note your queries are a bit different and there are other topics on stuck at 90v etc in this forum. Some of us are subscribed to specific topics, like myself on this one (as I have this specific issues of being limited at 100amps batteries charging) and again from the recent posts it is going offtopic and I receive email notifications for each post. But when I open the topic thread it diverts to other subjects. Would appreciate if you could please stay on the specific topic or look for specific topic threads related to your specific issues. Thank you in advance.

MAX 11k TWIN - need firmware
I second the above issue, I have a Tommatech 11kw non-twin (clone of Axpert Max with removable display) and whatever I do I cannot make my batteries charge above 100amps. I have 6x Dyness A48100 (approx 28.8 kwh) and a Braun battery (modified from 16s to 15s with JK BMS, approx 13.4 kwh) in parallel, both MultiSibControl with the Dyness batteries input and Solar Assistat with a Victron Shunt (for all Dynesss and Braun batteries) talking to the inverter. I have tried switching off one or the other in various combinations and sequence but the batteries do not charge above 100amps, though their BMS settings are for 150A. I have also tried changing in MultiSibControl the "PV power balance strategy" settings between "Charge only" and "Loads + Charge" which sends a PSB0 or PSB1 command to the inverter (and this changes the setting in Solar Assistant for "PV power Balance" between "Limit PV input to max charge current" and "Allow higher PV than max charge current" but no change, batteries still charge with max 100amps, even if I disconnect some of them and try using only MultiSibControl or Solar Assistant. Actually for Robert1968 above, the max charge setting of 150A includes BOTH from PV and from Utility, however even if my Utility charges is set to 2A or 10A, the Batteries are charged with max 100A from Solar @Coloumb will appreciate any insight you might provide on the above inverter behaviour/logic, I am using your 273.63 firmware. Thank you in advance

Hi I have the same intention, did this work out for you? Thanks

Dyness Battery Status view?
Hi I use primarily Solar Assistant with a proper cable and it reads properly each dyness battery https://solar-assistant.io/ Also Multisib does read the batteries separately http://www.multisibcontrol.net/ you see SoC, voltages, temperatures etc but not SOH, there was a software posted on this forum specifically for Dyness, but there if you have several batteries you need to check them one by one as the DIP settings differed to read them all through the Master one

Dyness batteries not charging equally
Hi , I have six Dyness a48100 batteries, and it really depends on how they are connected to the inverter, including equal length of cables. I had similar issues and was in touch with Dyness support via Whatsapp and they recommended splitting them into groups of 2 pairs and connecting the cables diagonally from the inverter e.g. the negative cable to the 1st battery and the positive cable to the 2nd battery of each pair. Then ideally each pair should be connected to a bus bar and then to the inverter (there is a diagram for this in the battery's manual). I don't have (space for) bus bar so I managed to connect each of the three pairs batteries cables directly inside the inverter. I still have some minor differences with the state of charge as my cables are with different lengths but unable to have them equal due to the locations of the batteries. (I am still to complete the grounding of the batteries though, not yet connected). Another important thing is to have the inverter set with the proper BMS reference - if your inverter does not support Dyness then you can use Pylontech as a proxy, and also will be good if all batteries have the same firmware version Hope this somewhat helps

Tommatech 11KW firmware upgrade
Thank you @Coulomb in case i upgrade to the new 73.63 "as is" above but it does not work for the mppt sticking at 90v in gloomy days and/or the battery premature float bugs - would it be possible to downgrade then back to the patched (2)91.70, or should you then need to patch again the new 73.63 to be re-applied in the inverter? Many thanks again .

Tommatech 11KW firmware upgrade
Hi all, I just now came across this for the 11kw Max 1 (from MPP Solar) FW upgrades v 73.63 and 57.61 (from mid April) for both new and old chips versions, claims to "to address MPPT freeze issue found on some units due to the chip performance variation." https://www.mppsolar.com/v3/11kmax-fw-update/ I have not tried it. @Coulomb could you please if possible and time permitting identify any changes in the FW and do you think it is worth upgrading further your patched FW for this model, namely (2)91.70? I see some EEPROM errors displayed on some monitoring software (e.g. MultiSIBControl 1.7) with (2)91.70 but otherwise inverter seems to work ok. Thank you in advance Kind regards

Tommatech 11KW firmware upgrade
Thank you @Coulomb glad to have been of help. I know this thread is not on this but any chance you could please patch the Max1 7.2kW with the new processor for the float and mppt voltage freeze? Your work and support is greatly appreciated and I will repeat my previous donation and sure there will be others who will benefit from this. Many thanks in advance for your kind consideration.

Tommatech 11KW firmware upgrade
Hi @Coulomb, this was received from Tommatech last week (actually from their reps. in Turkey which are https://www.cw-enerji.com/). Yes I had it saved on my Mac from an email, unzipped it and then added to the zip the SOP provided by them on how to flash it, and zipped it again. So my Mac system could have added to the filing. As they provided a download link and the zipped file was around 18 MBs as it contained also other firmware, I am attaching herewith a link to that original zip file in my dropbox, in case you would like to investigate the individual files properties , time stamps etc: https://www.dropbox.com/t/way2yTuTytM40BZA I judged that the one you had above is newer just by the version numbering. FYI in that zip file I got also the latest firmware for Max1 7.2kw both old and new processors and I added the latter yesterday to the Download section. I don't know about any changes, these were just provided as being latest with cwi-enerji

Tommatech 11KW firmware upgrade
I have 57.05 factory firmware , as attached. I don't know the changes, use at your own risk. But believe the one above from @Coulomb may be more recent MAX_1_11kW_DSP_57.05_2809_old_processor.zip

BETA FIRMWARE AXPERT MAX 8 KW >>>MPPT improvement<<< (Based on stable 90.06)
Hi again, I am happy to report that thanks to Coulomb and Oakyz (the latter via PMs) I have successfully managed to upgrade my Axpert Max 11kW to the patched firmware 291.70 per the links above, via the Arena Flash tool and a RS232/usb cable. It went fairly easy and quickly no loud fans for less than 10 mins, the display of th einverter was showing UPG all the time I hope this will improve my 90V dip on these gloomy days and I will be monitoring for any improvement Many thanks again to Coulomb and Oakyz.

BETA FIRMWARE AXPERT MAX 8 KW >>>MPPT improvement<<< (Based on stable 90.06)
Good day Coulomb, I have been following your posts with great interest and thanks I am in Europe and I have a (Tommatech) 11kW inverter that seems a clone or rebranded version of Voltronic / Axpert Max (https://tommatech.de/en/product/tommatech-11k-48v-plus-hv-mppt-11000w-p-smart-inverter-693.html ) It has right now original (factory) firmware 73.03 and a removable display. I seem to have the PV dip issue on cloudy days around the 90V level, please see graphs from today: I saw you recently posted the above patched firmware for Axpert Max 11kW to resolve the PV dip at: I downloaded and unzipped the file and wanted to do a firmware upload via a USB / OTG cable per your instruction here: https://forums.aeva.asn.au/viewtopic.php?p=87767#p87767 via the micro usb B socket of the inverter and a FAT32 USB stick. However in the unpacked zipped file there is no *.dex file but mostly *.inv files, please see screenshot below: Please could you advise if I could still follow the above firmware upload procedure via a USB /OTG cable and USB FAT32 stick with an *.inv file? Or should I plan to do it via the RS232 / Serial cable with an adapter to USB and a windows laptop? Thank you in advance. Stan.
