Storage and charging long term
Hi, I've got 2 evo energy 6.1 batteries that I won't be using for a year, any suggestion on how to store these and charge them etc, any suggestions will be helpful

Shoto 5.12kWh Communication Dipswitches
that worked and I can see the battery packs but now the deye is beeping, do I need to change something in the settings

Shoto 5.12kWh Communication Dipswitches
thanks for the help, I will try that

Shoto 5.12kWh Communication Dipswitches
thanks for the reply. I was under the impression that the deye needs to talk to the BMS, so I can remove the CAN cable? set the dip switches and I assume resetting the batteries will look like this now

Shoto 5.12kWh Communication Dipswitches
Hi, I’m still a bit confused about this. I’ve got a 5KW deye with 2 X 5.12 shoto’s. They installed it as follows B1 – CAN to inverter B1 – RS485B to B2 – RS485A (?????) Dipswitches B1 = 00001000 B2 = 10000000 I’ve got the RPI cable to the inverter and all is working well with the battery setting to “Use inverter values”. Cool, now I want to add the RPI battery cable and If I plug it into B1 – RS485A, I only see 1 packs values and the same if I plug it into B2 – RB485B From what I understand in this(https://powerforum.co.za/topic/10747-wiring-advise-deye-8k-inverter-2-shoto-512kwh-lifepo4/) posts answers is that B1 – RS485A should go to B2 – RS485B and from the current post that dip switches for B1 = 10000000 and B2 = 01000000. I then assume that the RPI cable should go to B1 – RS485B and I have to reset the battery packs with the inverter switched off(first B1 then B2 reset)? Any help will be appreciated

Another essential non essential post
I posted this in the newcomers section with no answers, so let me try here🙂 Hi *, I did the jump to solar and the system was installed 5 days ago. After reading a lot of posts on this forum, I've got so many questions but I think first my setup deye 5kw shoto 5.12kw panels 4.1kw will upgrade next year The thing that confuses me the most is the essential and non essential wiring, I've got my 2 X geyser(3kw kwitot with geyserwise) and stove on non essential with the rest on essential. The geyser is set to run at 11am to 12 and the other from 13 to 14:00. I can see on the deye that when the microwave is used it consumes from the panels, with only a load of about 500watt I switch the geyser on but the deye doesn't show any consumption from the panels at all. I had a long stare at the db, the CT is before the main breaker with the arrow pointing towards it. There's 2 live and 2 neutral wires coming from the inverter. The one pair is on the main breaker output going to the inverter while the other pair comes back and is connected to the top of the earth leakage breaker which then goes to the top of the plugs and lights breakers. The stove and geyser wires comes directly from the output of the main breaker without going through the earth leakage. So how does the deye know what is on the non essential circuit if there's no wires connected to it and how will it feed access power from the panels as it looks like the plugs/lights(deye) is completely isolated from the geysers/stove I'm attaching my DB layout, I hope it makes sense yes I know it's a rats nest, will have to get my electrician out to make it neat

Deye Time Of Use Settings
Hi, got my system installed a few days ago and would like the battery to start running at 4am with no grid charging until 3pm. I understand the answer but where do you charge from the grid on your setup or don't I understand how it works, thanks for any help
