Ok, say I replace the dodgy bms in the 2 shoto batteries, will they still be able to communicate with the remaining 4x shoto batteries? It is a bank of 6x 5kW shoto where 2 of them just died.

Hi @WannabeSolarSparky Hi, do you perhaps still have aftermarket BMS available for Shoto 5kW batteries? I took over a site that was done by a fly by night company and it has endless issues. Currently 2 of the 6 batteries are dead and I suspect it is bms related.

Yeah, I have tried the website way but there is no way of selecting the firmware. The whole interface is incomplete. They are busy working on a realtime monitoring platform and local connection, so that should also be deployed shortly.

Can you connect your phone directly to the GPRS logger? Like when you set it up the first time? From there you should be able to get an ip address that you can connect to. I'm not sure if the GPRS logger has wifi also.

The inverter has 3 different controls. Communication CPU, Protocol Version and Control Software Version. Log into it from your pc by typing the local ip address in your browser.

Ok, so latest firmware that includes the fixes are V3.8.7.0 for the 8.8kW Sunsynk and V2.1.3.7 for the 5.5kW Sunsynk. So far 26hours without problems. All fixed up and sorted.

They don't automatically push updates, you have to request an update.

@AchmatI was on V3.8.7.0 and the guy called David modified version 3.8.6.9 and downgraded my inverter to V3.8.6.9 and all is good now. So far no reboots.

Ok, so I am on a whatsapp chat group with the manufacturers and programmers for Sunsynk. Anyone having the issue with smart load rebooting, send me a direct message so that I can add you to the group for troubleshooting.

For Axpert inverters you can use a normally closed relay that is powered from the mains. The mains opens the contactor and breaks the Neutral Earth bond on output side and when mains go out it closes again and makes the bond.

When the mains go out and inverter is in off-grid mode your neutral to earth bond no longer exist. So you have to use a relay to bond your output earth and neutral once the mains connection is no longer available.

Still having reboot issues. Smart load just went off again for 5 seconds. There must be a way to access the working logs on this inverter to check what may have caused the smart load to reboot.

Did a test and tripped mains, all loads stayed on without even a dip. So smart load is now also like UPS output. Just hope the smartload stays on without the reboot issue.

Yes, the manufacturer pushes it via the wifi logger. Only thing that bugs me about the updates are that it restarts the inverter when it is a major update.
