  1. My original install only included a single Sunsynk battery and my inverter was set at 100A for discharge amps. The battery can function at that output and I ran it like that for a month, but it should not be used at that level for extended periods of time. That is why I ended up adding a second battery within a month of the install.
  2. Just to add to what's already been said. The screenshot of your battery settings shows that the "Discharge Amps" is set to 80 Amps. If my calculations are correct, that would only allow for 3840 Watts to be inverted and could be part of your problem.

  4. Subscribing to this one. My Sunsynk installation also makes use of a permanent neutral bond. I asked my installer about it, and they insisted that it is the correct way of doing it.

  6. Yes, I did open my splitter. The only thing I did differently was clipping the spring-loaded pins. I see you clipped the internal pins behind the spring-loaded pins. That should have worked as well. Just to confirm, you made sure when reassembling the splitter that the spring-loaded pins all fall back into their original positions?
  7. I have the same Sunsynk inverter/battery combo and had the same issue you now have. The splitter recommended by SA will work, however you need to slightly modify the splitter. On the port of the splitter you are plugging the cable from the battery into, you need to clip all the pins except for the two used for CAN comms. If I remember corretly, it is the middle two of the 8 pins that must remain in place. Something from the Sunsynk battery's CAN port communicates on the same pins used by SA's RS485 cable. When clipping those pins on the splitter, it stop that battery comms from interfering.
  8. The time had come to ditch some of my household's dependance on Eskom. Main install completed on the 31st of January (northern suburbs, Cape Town). The second battery was added on the 11th of February. Here is the kit used: 1 x Sunsynk 5.5kW Inverter 2 x Sunsynk 5.12kWh Batteries 12 x JA Solar 460W Panels Six panels are facing east, and the other six panels are facing north. All plugs and lights in the main house are on the essential load, plus some plugs and lights in a wendy-house on my property. Geysers, jacuzzi, irrigation, large air-con, stove and flat are on non-essential load.
