  1. I'm unfortunately not too technical. It's the Earth Leakage on the house DB. It's split between Eskom side (stone and oven) and Inverter Side (plugs, lights etc). It's the inverter side earth leakage that trips. I've had it changed before but still happens.
  2. Hi guys I sometimes get a random Inverter Side Earth leakage trip. It's very random and at anytime. It happens I'd say once every month or two. I've Googled and Gemini said something about a DC/AC earth leakage is the solution. Does anyone else experience this? I have a Deye 12kw inverter + 3x Hubble AM2 in parralel.
  3. Lifetide Battery - 5120Wh LiFePO4 51.2V 100Ah Battery Purchased July 2023 - 100% working order Warranty: Yes (Purchase invoice available) Price: R10 500 neg Cash/EFT Reason for Sale: Upgrading (my mother's house) Based in Boksburg (Collection or send own courier)
  4. 60s is good enough really. I only need to check the data once or twice a day, specifically on the cloudy/overcast days like Joburgs current gloomy weather. Other than that, the sunny days let my system far outperform my needs.
  5. Excellent!!! Thank you. Emailing them now.
  6. Hi Guys. My Deye inverter data on Solarman is delayed by about 5-8min. Is there a way to get up to date data on consumption /production? I'm sure this question has been asked before here, but I'm battling to find it.
  7. You cannot mix different battery brands as far as I know. This one's on you mate.
  8. Hi Sidewinder... Here's the data I've pulled from the inverter. YELLOW - BMS Voltage GREEN - Battery SOC White - Charge Voltage Setting The time stamp is to the left.
  9. Hi guys I recently switched from an Axpert MKS IV 5.6kw inverter to a Deye 5kw inverter (connected to 2x Hubble AM-2 batteries). It works great. I've noticed though that my batteries no longer read 100% but just sit at 99%. Anything to worry about? It always said 100% with the Axpert inverter when I checked on the cloudlink app. I haven't connected the cloudlink to the Deye as yet.
  10. Absolutely. Been on prepaid for years now and it's just the best. The ability to even just monitor your consumption on the daily shifts behavior a lot and that brings added savings.
  11. COJ is really affordable on pre-paid. Ekurhuleni will NAIL you when you use more than 700 units in a month.
  12. The string of numbers (first 2) were to upgrade the software of the meter as they were running out of tokens with the old software.
  13. Any reason why you have your generator connected? Is there no grid available there?
  14. I have the Axpert 5.6kw inverter. I needed to purchase another one and parallel it as I needed more panels in a different direction. After getting advice about having to purchase parallel cards and make sure firmware is the same etc... I just went and bought a brand new Deye inverter. It was an expensive lesson as I should have spent the extra R5k and bought the Deye inverter when I installed the system. We live and learn. But the Axpert Inverter is a GREAT inverter, I won't lie. The single MPPT is my only issue.

This battery already sells for around R28500 (incl VAT) new. Many here can claim VAT back, meaning it costs around R24500 ex VAT, before any discounts some may get. Just something to think about on pricing this. GLWS
  16. Already have one luckily. Got before I got solar even... 😎
  17. Finally had a changeover switch installed. The far right switch is the changeover switch. (The 4 Lever - Grid/Generator Changeover). This allows me to use my access solar on sunny days to heat my water and save on electricity. Gauteng has been super cloudy/overcast for weeks now, so won't use it until we get back to the super sunny days. All in all, it works perfectly and is also wired to allow the geyser to operate from the generator too. Very happy with the installation. A 2 pole isolater (middle breaker) was needed to be installed too.
  18. Thank you. I'll look into this.
  19. I'm not entirely sure about that either. I have a Deye installed at my warehouse and it does have the CT coil (think that's the name) and that works perfectly. I'm not sure if the Infinisolar inverters have the same or not. It is a hybrid inverter.
  20. Thank you. I already have a geyser switch, so I'll get a simple transfer switch.
  21. Here's an interesting thread I just read: https://www.4x4community.co.za/forum/showthread.php/359185-Wifi-Changeover-Switch
  22. This sounds like a plan. I think I can go this route actually. I'll Google to see if there's any smart/wifi changeover switches.
  23. Hi Guys I have a 5kw (Infinisolar Inverter) + 2 Hubble AM-2 Battery setup. It works superbly and I have enough battery power to last until morning. The batteries are normally fully charged around 12pm on a sunny day. I then have access solar power that I'm not using. My geyser is on the non-essential side of things. Is there a switch that exists (transfer switch of sorts) where I can switch the geyser from non-essential to essential so I can take advantage of the sun. This would allow me to get it completely hot which would be enough hot water for 2 people to shower in the evening and morning (I've tested this). Just wondering. Any thoughts?
