  1. I’m struggling to see where it goes and too scared to shock myself as I don’t know what I’m doing so will wait for an electrician to come and try trace it. Yes there is another DB with a change over switch. If I turn that to Eskom it still trips so I’m guessing it’s not the inverter causing the issue.
  2. Thanks, could be that but what would explain why it works when running on battery and only trips on Eskom? Will post some pics. It trips when I put on kitchen appliances, kettle, stove, dishwasher etc. They all on different breakers so doesn’t seem like an issue to a particular circuit. The installation has been in for a while but had this issue from the start and the installer “fixed” it by just bypassing the leakage, once I realised what he had done I got someone else rewire it safely (I hope?). it’s the inverter leakage that trips (top one in the pics) Hope the below pictures are ok, thanks for all the help so far
  3. Hi All I am struggling with earth leakage tripping. I have a Kodak 7.2kw inverter and everything works fine off Solar/battery. However when we switch to the grid the earth leakage trips but only whenever I put on a biggish load (roughly 1kw or more). My electrician has been scratching his head looking for the fault and can’t find anything. We have rewired the DB board and checked every circuit. Even if we bypass the inverter it still trips the moment we add loads (but ok with a small load). Any suggestions on what could be causing this and how to try find the fault would be much appreciated!

Hi I have 2 new Kodak FL5.2 batteries connected to a Kodak 7.2 Max Inverter. They connected correctly per the manual (and same set up as I had before with older but identical batteries) but the one battery (the slave) is not charging or discharging but is stuck at 80% full (4/5 lights green). The result is only the master is used and I effectively have the second battery going to waste. If I turn off the master battery, the slave turns off so this implies they connected and sort of talking to each other. Is there some way the batteries need to be synced or commissioned or why isn't the second battery not being used? Thanks
