  1. The fist five star batteries had Daren BMS in them the next have pace BMS and communicate with LiB on the inverter, making sure you have the comms cable correctly wired.
  2. Ok, have read through all of this, I have 2 x 5KV inverter Synapse one is 3 years old the other 6 months old, I also have a 3rd synapse setup and on hold.14 Panels 545W east and west 2 x Five star 15KVA batteries. Both are in the process of having there BMSs changed to JKs, parralleling is complex? If basically adding 2 parralell cards and adding a few breakers to the panels, nicely explained in there manuals. The master Inverter does draw more than the slave for some reason, My mains is permanently off. Everything runs on solar, given I have a gas stove an a double solar geyser, in summer one panel and in winter 2 panels (2.4sqm). In winter I also run the geyser partly on solar to boost the temp with a Geyserwise controller. Also run a Changeover switch on my geyser just in case. We had 4 adults and 2 babies extra over christmas and the system performed well, I would hate to see the same thing mid winter with 5 days of clouds. The reason for changing the BMS's is that the newest of the batteries stopped working, BMS faulty, shutting down with no fault.
  3. What make earth leakage do you have, I have found the white chint din rail ones trip and have changed to CBI the tripping stopped, weird. Also worth noting the Inverter supply from the grid side cannot be routed tough a earth Leakage. Check your neutrals have not been mixed around (Mains and Inverter output.

  6. I have numerous instalations with Fivetar batteries and synapse inverters, only problem I have had is one of the 15KW batteries BMS keeps going to fault and cuts power, One of my 15KW batteries is the old type with a Daren BMS, have upgraded it with a JK 16S 200A bms and it now can communicate with the inverter. Before just ran it on voltages and it has been running for +2 years. The one that cuts off the power is currently with the agents and they say there is nothing wrong with it. So looks like I will be swopping out the BMS with a JK bms as well. The newer Batteries have got Pacex BMS which communicates with Synapse/voltronic. The new Fivestar batteries have touch screens which allow changing of the protocols.
  7. 134 is low battery voltage fault.
  8. Abnormal load fault-105
  9. Rubicon repaired one of mine that blew up through a surge R1600 for a new board and it was done in CT.
  10. hi, 10 x 455W halfcell mono panels east facing, 5.0KVA synapse inverter and a fivestar 15kva lithium battery. I have read through a lot, thanks guys, I recently threw out my 24 No 12V100ah lead acids (3years old and still good) and put in a 48V300ah lifepo4 battery, I never had any PV issues. In goes lithium after a few days starts dropping the PV current in the afternoon. After a lot of head scratching I changed the bulk charging to lower than the float voltage 0.5V, now my PV stays on and feeds the loads until the sun goes down even with the loads being greater than the PV. It justs tops up from the batteries. My main concern is the battery cannot communicate with the inverter. I have tried can and RJ458 configuration, get err61. I have both battery and inverter pinouts.

  12. Hi, I have a 15kva five star lithium battery and a 5kva synapse/voltronic inverter, I am battling to get the inverter to communicate with the battery. I made a rj45 cable connect canL and canH using voltronic and five star manuals. Using can connection on battery. All dip switches are set to 0. What setting do I use on the inverter have tried all 3 lithium settings Sol, pyl, Weco. Just get alarm. 61 after 3 mins. Any suggestions
