  3. I am also thinking of adding 2 Longi 555w panels per string of which I already have 7 per string. The 480,95 as mentioned above is still below the max input of 500V and I think the chances are incredibly slim for the voltage to surpass the max input of 500V. Why do you recommend not surpassing 450V? What are the risks?
  4. With reference to the above topic: Herman from Battery Centre Secunda exchanged all three Magneto batteries for the same model last year May. Thereafter it synced perfectly and I had no issues at all except that the first battery cycled more than the other two. One or two more cycles per week. Saturday 28/01/24, I saw that I have the same issue again. The inverter switched off during loadshedding whereafter I saw that the third battery is on 18% and the other two on 38%. The third battery is on 302 cycles, second battery on 217 and the first on 243 cycles. All three batteries are of the same model and installed on the same day. It seems that when there is load on the batteries it drains the one battery much more than the others and the inverter "reads" only the two or the other. For example, the inverter would read 20% SOC on the one battery but the other two is still on 40% and then it shuts down. Or vica versa, the inverter would read the stronger battery and then it doesn't shut down draining the other battery. How will this affect my warrenty on the this battery bacause this morning the one battery was drained to 10%SOC and the other two was still at 38%. It keeps drawing that battery because the inverter shows 38% and will only shut down at 25%. I hope this makes sense.
  5. This is really disappointing, that would mean that I won't be able to introduce more batteries in the near future. Ferdi from Magneto was at my house and installed/upgraded the firmware on all three batteries to no avail. My installer informed me that Magento still have a version 1 in stock and that they will exchange the version 2 with this one and then my problem will be sorted out. This means that I won't be able to introduce a new battery in the near future as there won't be any version 1's left in the market which is totally unacceptable. My installer also assured me that it won't be a problem to introduce new batteries over the course of a few months and now it is a problem.
  6. Can you maybe send me the Magneto technician's contact details. I have a issue and can't get hold of anyone at Magneto.
  7. I installed a solar system December 2022 consisting, 14 555w panels, 8kw Deye inverter and 2 Magneto 5.12kwh batteries. Everything worked perfect. In February I added a third battery. Now the batteries won't sync/balance. There is always about 15%-30% difference in the SOC of the two old batteries and the new one. The problem I have is that I cannot use the time of use settings effectively because the inverter would either read the old or the new battery's SOC. For instance: The inverter reads 20% SOC on the new battery but the other two is still on 40% and then it shuts down. Or vica versa, the inverter would read the stronger battery and then it doesn't shut down draining the other battery. Both the installer and supplier have been here numerous times trying to sort it out to no avail. They upgraded firmware, changed comm cables, different dip switches, attempting to calibrate it manually with the software etc. When fully charged the two old batteries are at 57V and the new on 54V. So it starts to drain the two old batteries and then after a while the new battery. It would seem that the inverter doesn't read it as one cell. I am no expert but it seems to me that the BMS between the new and old batteries does not communicate. When only two batteries was installed on the BMS screen on the inverter it would show Pylon at lithium mode and it couldn't be changed. After adding the third now it shows 00 and can be changed. I my question makes sense. I would be really grateful if someone can help me sort out this problem.
