Sun Pays Lithium Batteries and Deye: BMS communications
Are these the older model Sunpays 48v 100ah? I was interested in buying a set used and using them with the Sunpays axpert vmiii but was told they won't communicate. It is the newer models with screens that will work with the CAN/rs comms. Just what I could findout. Best of luck!

Conderergy/Svolt 51.2V 1C battery anyone have one? ?
I am just saying that if you buy a battery that is capable of only 0.5C maximum you may find that it is your bottle neck as you won't be able to pull more than +-2600W through your 8Kva(+-8000W) Inverter at one time without tripping the bms safety. Say if you need to run your medium microwave (1200W) and a washing machine, cold wash (500W only at spin) and your normal load say +-(350W) and maybe someone needs to boil a Kettle for a couple of minutes (2200W). Enter car analogy: (If two idential cars cost the same price but ones engine is maxed out at 80km/h and the other maxed at 160km/h For me I would choose the car that can do 160km/h even if I only need to drive up to 120km/s this way I would have some headroom.) I am looking at getting a SVolt battery soon (hopefully) and will test her out. Specs seem good and bang for buck too!

Thanks Samsed, sorry I missed your reply. I ended up with a Luxpower SNA as they sold out in the model I was interested in. Maybe they sold them due to my post haha ๐

Conderergy/Svolt 51.2V 1C battery anyone have one? ?
It's not that you want to draw 1C continuously but that you have the capability to draw more than 0.5C especially if you only have one battery otherwise your battery will hold you back. What kva inverter are you using? Is your peak +-1500W?

Conderergy/Svolt 51.2V 1C battery anyone have one? ?
Is the Conderergy/Svolt 51.2V 1C 100ah rack mount battery any good? I have heard that Svolt is a large manufacturer of E-Automotive vehicle batteries in China with quality products. The specs I found show it is 1C capable. Price wise they are between R23900 and R30000 depending where you buy them which seems to be good value for money. Does anyone have any info or views on this product? Thanks in advance

The Sun Pays 5.5Kva VMII Axpert type Inverter any good?
Thanks Scorp007, was it this model or a similar TSP model? I downloaded the manual which looked OK to me but seemed a bit generic and I have also heard from others about limitations in settings or settings that are not available/settings that can't be changed. I suppose I'll only know if I buy and start setting one up ๐

Recently scammed, need advice.
Thanks Gnome I will look at Fullcirclesolar also. Yes I am currently looking to install as a UPS setup but would like to get an inverter that I can use in the future for adding some solar panels that can blend between utility and solar to cover my some of my loads during the day. I don't plan to sell back to CPT municipality or plan to go completely off grid unless the future takes us there..... My only preferences currently are 5kva with MPPT ability. Thanks for the advice

Thanks Peter, that is probably the route I will have to take. Maybe some DIY mounting and trunking to save on labor costs and electrical hardware shopping๐ P.s. I posted in the Inverter section for any advice on a specific inverter I found, see link below. Thanks a stack https://powerforum.co.za/topic/18566-the-sun-pays-55kva-vmii-axpert-type-inverter-any-good/?do=findComment&comment=163365/

The Sun Pays 5.5Kva VMII Axpert type Inverter any good?
Hi Guys, I am working on a tight budget and found this gem on the web. It looks like a Axpert VMII clone. The Sun Pays online has a 6 month warranty which makes me little uneasy though even with their good seller reviews. Other rebranded models of this are in excess of R12000 with only a year warranty. It seems very well spec'd for R9000 and TSP Customer service say that it can blend between Solar and utility. Does it look worth it or should I rather try reach the Luxpower SNA5000 or Growatt mark? Link : https://shop.thesunpays.co.za/products/5-5kva-5-5kw-100a-axpert-type-pure-sine-wave-inverter-high-voltage Thanks in advance

Recently scammed, need advice.
Thanks I did manage to avoid the fake Solar website scams, but got caught with a private seller on Facebook. He/She was so detailed and had planned this scam out to perfection including, all company details, Vat no, tax invoice from the Farm, courier quotes along with a "courier guy" account and address. QR codes offered to check warranty of said units. Even advised I could arrange the courier myself....... Spoke to them on the phone and still hasn't blocked me. Turns out the number has not been RICA'd. Budget is R40000 including installation. ๐

Recently scammed, need advice.
Thanks Modina, 1. Yes, I reported it to my bank as well as the SAPS. Sadly money is long gone, but they will still be continuing with the investigation. 2. Most of the "sellers" details have changed. It is likely that they used someone else's identity, but considering they are still being investigated, I'd rather not say just yet.

Recently scammed, need advice.
Hi All, I am new to the forum and have been trying to get a UPS type setup, up and running at my home for a while now. I recently was scammed while trying to buy a system and lost the funds I was hoping to use. So I am starting again and I'm naturally now very much more nervous and the pressure to make the right decision is great. I am in Cape Town and am hoping to find some other options. I initially wanted to go for a new lithium battery but will need to try and find a used battery. Does anyone have any combos they're upgrading from, or know of any tips or tricks. I'm looking for a 5kva Inverter with high voltage MPPT controller (to add solar later) and a 5Kwh lithium battery, either 15s or 16s. Any leads or feedback would be appreciated.
