  1. Looks good but is it legal to have battery/welding cables not in conduits?
  2. Need that super thick insulation to protect you from that 12V 😂
  3.    run_the_race reacted to a post in a topic: Battery Cable vs Welding Cable?
  4. Due to the skin effect of how current flows, a finer stranded cable can carry more current for the same mm2. Look up electro magnetic theory.
  5. How do you unclip that middle trunking (with the conduit coming out of the lid)?
  6. I was thinking of using cable trays (wire mesh or steel cable trays) like this (ignore the red markings, they were not made by me): Especially the 220VAC to and from the inverters. I imagine the battery cables (using welding cables where the insulation is 600V) is okay to be outside a trunking. Is it legal in South Africa to install a system like above in a residential house? All the photos I have seen so far of installations in South Africa they put all their cables in PVC conduits. Heres another not in conduit system: Question2: With regards to the cables when they go from the square trunking to the inverter, I see some people put the cables inside round conduit some, people dont, some people do some cables, Some people just push the trunking right against the inverter, what's the legal requirement there? Here some cables are within white conduit (likes like not the battery cables): This like all in round conduits from the square trunking to the inverter: trunking right against the inverter:
