  1. We just had some storage space installed in our roof space and I had a look at the easiest way to add a plug up there for a lamp. Looking at the nearest junction box it's a bit of a mess. All the wires are just taped together, no connection blocks or anything. To clean it up I was thinking that the neatest and easiest is to use a Wago 221 5 way. They look to be rated for 32A and looking in the regs I don't see any reason why I couldn't use them. Definitely seems like it would be safer than the current situation of wires just twisted and taped. Anyone think I'd have an issue with CoC if I installed them?

Hi all, I currently have one of these and it works well (https://www.sustainable.co.za/omnipower-power-caddy-iii.html): I'm looking for a way to add another battery though, what I was thinking was to: - Get another empty box and add another 105AH battery into it - Have the positive and negative leads coming out on maybe a Brad Harrison type connector - Then on my original box with the inverter, open the box and connect another set of leads to the +'ve and -'ve terminals, also coming out of the box on a Brad Harrison connector. - Thus connecting the two batteries in parallel That way I would be able to disconnect the second battery box should I need to take the smaller setup with me, so I don't lose portability - but still have the benefit of more storage. I will of course need to consider age of my current battery, and also not running the main battery box on it's own too often. A few questions for those with some experience: 1. Is this a bad idea? 2. If I take the main box with me somewhere and use it till it's dead, but the second box is fully charged - what happens when I come home and connect it together again? 3. The existing wiring from the battery to the inverter is quite substantial, I don't think the connector into the inverter will allow for a thicker wire. Would this be an issue? 4. What size wire and connector (size or alternative type) would you recommend to go from the main to the secondary box? Thanks a lot
  4. I think I may have paired the second transmitter incorrectly. Looking online the drop down menu when adding a new transmitter has the option for "sub-metering", I don't seem to have that option, mine didn't have that. IIRC it was something like: Whole grid monitoring - - Solar generation - With just dashes, no other labels. Edit: It doesn't seem possible to remove an image..
  5. Hello, my first post here. Been watching the threads for a while though. I'm starting my journey into Solar, phase 1 will be just a couple of batteries and an inverter charger for my security essentials (alarm, cctv, wifi, etc) Planning on getting these two things initially: Victron Multiplus Compact 12V/24V 1.6kVA-1.3kW Pure Sinewave Inverter/Charger 2 x SonX RA12 100Ah 12V AGM Battery My first step though is getting an idea of usage, so I got the Efergy hub to give me an approximate idea of what I'm actually consuming, but I have an issue. When I draw a report I have a column for each of the two sensors, but both column headings are the same. Also, one of my sensors shows a load of 0.05kwh when I check my Engage dashboard, but on the history it doesn't show it all - nor does it show in the reports. What could be wrong?
