Hi just looking for advice. If I wanted to buy a second hand Sunsynk battery which was bought less that a year ago and was registered with another owner. Is the warranty still valid for me as the new owner? What do I need to look out for before purchasinge?

I would assume they cover there costs incase something else also broken. either way the labor is my issue i don't mind component costs. if labor was 2 hours would of gone for it. anyways hopefully this post helps others decide if they run into issues with repairs. postage up and down on you...labor as you can see very costly.

Ok so they don't offer support local in cape town...they don't allow others to repair...they don't sell components separately.. i find these 3 things problematic but if they don't fall under support issue then ill change title ?

I don't think they really investigated it thoroughly like i said the display was still working when i took it down. i think the people that put it back together did not care how it was assembled because at that time i was very teed off and just said give my inverter back. they probably just chucked everything back in there.

So 8 hours is reasonable time to repair with that rate? No idea what's wrong with display as it was still working when i took it down. Its a 8kw im going to sell it on facebook markets when it get back for 5k

sent it to a local place in cape town thinking they could repair it. They had it for nearly two months and could not fix. only found out afterwards from setsolar that no one can fix it but sunsynk. posted to them and warranty was void. i don't mind replacing parts but labor is way too much for me.

Ok so i sent my inverter for repairs to the only company im told is allowed to repair it global Tech Sunsynk. Find attached quote for labor cost. R6900 they say there is 8 components that needs replacing. R750 per component.How does that work? Is there 8 techs installing 8 components? anyone else find this wrong? ? ponent.

China suppliers not interested if small quantities lots of logistics involved. If you can afford a half container maybe. There are some guys that brought in on forum so would be interested to see responses

Hi All From what i understand to keep with regulation, when you come from inverter to the db you need a earth leakage breaker? Does both lights and plug get fed from that earth leakage or is it only the plugs?

Ah makes i struggle to get cells in to South Africa. Require agents etc. Anyone successfully import eve cells to south africa?
