Yes it does switch automatically if the parameter is specified (01) SOL. I personally use this SRNE inverter and can hence confirm this.

Yes panels are a good match for cheaper 100V unit. 
I suggested 150V as one can then use 50V panels as well. 
It gives some head room for later.
