  1. HI Alan, Yes, all the data from your inverter setup is sent to Centurion Solar's cloud portal, where they have Android and IOS apps for you to see your system in real-time. As far as I know the Pylontech cable they sell is only for use with Pylontech batteries though, so you won't need that part. You can optionally get a BMV-702 to monitor the state of charge of your batteries precisely, but I would start with just the ICC if I were you

HI Louis, I also use ICC supplied by Centurion Solar, and I have also experienced an over-voltage situation as soon as the batteries reach 100%. I tested this with and without the monitoring, and it seems to be at hardware level, but with the monitoring system I can see it happening, so that's when I also decided to bring down the bulk and float voltages slightly. I did this by "downtuning" 0.1V at a time, and by the time I got to 53.0V for bulk things started behaving, and still go to 100% most days but without the overvoltage and subsequent error shown on the battery. I set the float voltage 0.1V lower at 52.9V, very close to what Dirk did as well. Try that and see what voltage works for you?
  3. Hi Chris, Apart from the earthing, please ensure that you have the Pylontech cable going into the CONSOLE port on the top battery, with all of your DIP switches to the bottom, and then (more importantly), take out the cable that says Inverter on the one side and Battery on the other side. If you are using Voltronics inverters (which I suppose you are because you are using ICC), then you cannot use that cable, and it will interrupt all your communication with the Pylontech cable and ICC. Hope this helps you a little?

Nope, just very happy with the service I get on a continuous basis.

Problem is that iccsoftware does not give you any cloud dashboards by default, you have to figure out how to configure it yourself. This also means that you will not have any cellphone monitoring, unless you register an account at emoncms.org (which you have to pay for) and try to understand countless documents to configure your own dashboards. With Centurion Solar these dashboards come pre-configured and at no extra cost. Also, iccsoftware does not offer any telephonic support. Johan from Centurion Solar can be called almost any time and offers friendly free support for every pi bought from them. You can even visit him and he will give you free training on how to use ICC, how to install your system properly (he is a solar installer himself as well), and take you through the different design configurations to maximize your return on investment. This is definitely the place to get yours from: https://centurionsolar.co.za/shop/icc-pi-kit/

You can always just order a Pi from Centurion Solar and connect that to your Axpert and program it through that, then you don't need any software. Get it here: https://centurionsolar.co.za/shop/icc-pi-kit/ They will help you with the setup and configuration, and even provide you with an online portal where you can monitor your system directly on your telephone!
  7. You can order ICC complete kit here: https://centurionsolar.co.za/shop/icc-pi-kit/ It includes everything you need to program your inverter, and Johan is an avid mac user as well, so he can guide you through the setup on your mac for it. I can recommend Centurion Solar's friendly service!
  8. Hi Guys, Thanks for the accept, this is my first post here. I am busy installing my own system at home, got the inverters and batteries done, looking to do panels next. Got ICC to monitor everything and looking to offer what I can as a programmer back to the community
