  1. We have a 12 000 BTU split unit in the bedroom, and that thing runs from 8pm until around 7am every day at lowest setting (16'c). Another 9000 BTU unit is coming for our study (two gaming pc's heat the small room up quite a bit). I've been told not to run aircons off our inverter, mostly due to the start-up current. What are the rules there though? Would it be worth it investing in a 'soft start', although I see the proper units are rather expensive. Thoughts / comments?

  3. System has now run through the night two nights in a row without shutting down. I'm comfortable to say it's sorted! Thanks again Wilfred and everyone that commented.

  6. Not a single issue today so far, hoping tonight goes well, but pretty sure it's all good

  8. Problem solved it seems! It's raining, there's no sun and the entire system is charging from Eskom through the night. Happiness is!
  9. Ok, after nearly an hour on the phone with Wilfred I think we found the problem. The inverter was configured to run in PAL, with HS displaying.. It's a single inverter, it should not be in parallel. Thanks for the call, I'll come visit with biltong to say thanks!
  10. Right now the moment I adjusted the setting the Axpert is beeping like crazy showing battery low, so I just went to bypass and it seems to be charging the battery. When out of bypass ie normal, I see the AC icon, but it doesn't seem to be charging. The UPS's are small 300w items. They were there to keep air flowing so I could wheel out the generator (prior to this install), run some extension cables and start the gennie. Hope the pic makes sense...
  11. Yes when the battery 'goes flat' ie shuts down, the entire system shuts down.. What do I set this to?
  12. I'm off to go change settings, thanks Dex!
  13. Yeah looks like the 19" model.. I can take a pic and upload if you need.
  14. All I could find is Narada 48NPFC100NC G3 on it, when I spoke to Full Circle they said I need to bring it in for serial number check, as there is no serial # on it.. so no idea if it's 15S or 16S sorry...

  17. Dex I'll get you those when I'm home this afternoon.
  18. Yup, it's there. At 22:28pm last night Watchpower for all it's worth told me the battery is at 67% and 212w active output. 2:50am this morning, it had shut itself down again, and I had to go do a manual cut-over to Eskom.
