Hi, I am looking for a supplier for 5 x460W (or 455W) solar panels and IBR roof brackets. I want to add the panels to an existing system in Cape Town.

Thanks a lot Mzezman. Switching the batteries on and off did not work. The battery (Dyness) came with a whole bunch of cables that look like RJ45 cables. My installer had used one of these cables to connect the 2 batteries together. It was probably the wrong cable (one end labelled Victron and the other end labelled battery). Today I replaced that cable with an ordinary Cat 6 RJ45 cable, and when I switched the battery and inverter back on, the charge and discharge current showing on the inverter and the Solarman app is now 100A (which is 0.5C for the 2 batteries). I am not too sure whether it's because I also switched the inverter off that the system is now working as it should, but I assume it was the wrong battery-battery cable.

Apologies for hijacking the thread, but it appears Balneuwes is sorted! I have the same problem - started off with 1 x 4.8kWh Dyness connected to a 5kW Deye inverter. After adding a second battery the charge and discharge rates have not doubled. I have changed the inverter settings, and battery dip switch settings as suggested. Is the battery to battery comms cable just a normal Cat 5/6 RJ45 cable? I wanted to swop it out to see whether that resolves the problem. After changing the battery settings on the inverter do you have to restart the whole system for the changes to take effect?

Thank you. I have set it to 80A. So far no problem.

Good day What are the correct settings for a 5kW Deye inverter connected to two 4.8kWh Dyness batteries? I am concerned about the "Max A Charge" ( i.e. the charging current). I think it should be 80A and not 40A. (My installer added a second battery today, but did not change the charging current which was 40A when I had one battery).

My Luxpower 5kw hybrid inverter install

The hybrid Luxpower is only the LXP model right? Will the SNA 5000 be able to send PV power to items that are not on the essential DB (geyser and stove)?
