For anyone else struggling in the future. You need to change your date format to yy/mm/dd AND time zone to English (USA)! Picked up the battery with battery view and software on raspberry pi also working now.

I tried, to no avail, making my own cable to connect my UP5000 battery to battery view. I now purchased a cable from Solar Assistant but still cant see my UP5000? I checked and confirmed the port. I am getting the following error. It is however picking up the battery barcode etc. if I use battery view 3.0.28. If I use battery view 2 I am not getting anything except a time out error. Thanks for the feedback and help. Yes, it goes in to the COM port (RJ45) and into a raspberry pi (USB). I am going to cut off the RJ11 and crimp a RJ45 onto the USB/com cable to allow the UP5000 communication with the raspberry pi and inverter via ICC.

Can someone please help me with the color codes to crimp a RJ45 connector for a Pylontech UP5000 battery? I dont want to buy another cable as I already have a RJ11 cable that works perfectly with my US3000 battery bank and ICC software. I purchased an additional UP5000 that must be set as the master and now need a RJ45 connector. I want to cut of the RJ11 connector and crimp a new RJ45 for the UP5000.

Old topic, but can someone help me where I can find a 1kW element for my geyser? Want to use it as a pre-heater for my solar geyser.
