On average for a clear day how many kWh are you getting per installed kW?

Using a double conversion 3 in 1 out ups you could balance your 3 phases perfectly and be as low as possible on the R/kWh sliding scale.

I also don't understand this affinity for running DC elements from PV when solar geysers and heat pumps are available.

I'm hoping my loads will be low enough for the infini. Can one parallel the infini with another grid interactive gti for example?

Hi guys Currently I intend to buy an infini solar 3kW plus. But, I'm wondering if I should consider another alternative like the axpert series and upgrade to the infini later. The stand where I'm hopefully soon going to be buidling our house is serviced by ESKOM directly. Currently there is a trend where municipialities are starting to open up their grids for feed in for solar roof top PV. I know NERSA is busy with regulations regarding this but I wonder if ESKOM itself will allow solar roof top PV feedin. So this is where the trade off comes in, go the infini route and potentially not be able to feedin or just stick with something bi-directional for now and potentially upgrade later but then the bidirectional second hand value will be a lot less as a lot of guys would want to do the same thing to feedin? Any suggestions?

Even if you're not circulating your hot water with a feedback loop pipe insulation even on PEX piping will help a lot with heat loss. Do you guys typically use insulation on your warm water piping or not? If you can feel the insulation on a geyser or pipe is warm then you don't have sufficient insulation on the pipe. One would need to do a proper calculation to determine if it is worthwhile to recirculate the warm water in well insulated piping to compare the circulation energy cost vs heating the extra cold water you are pulling into your geyser.
