  1. Good day. I'm not sure this is the correct place for my question, but I hope someone could assist. I have a Luxpower SNA5000 Unit. 14.2kWH Li-ion storage. 2.9kW PV Face N + 1.3kW PV face W. The system works well. My average usage is 10kWH/ day. I use 0kWH Grit except on dark days. I want to go 100% off grit. What size generator is sufficient to assist in the dark period?
  2. Thanks. However, I'm going to link the earth cables as indicated in the attached photo. It looks as though the inner is linked to the earth screw and Pylon issues each battery with a separate cable. My rack stands on a three-ply wooden sheet.
  3. My pylon batteries are earthed as is indicated in the Fotos above. Each earth cable enters the DC DB Box. That is a big congestion. From the DC DB Box an earth cable runs to the earth setup of my PV Array. I intend to add a 5th battery. Makes it rather takkie. I have two thoughts on accommodating this: 1. Is to have a separate box placed next to the batteries coupled to the stand. where all earth cables enter an isolated box connected to a buzz bar and have only one cable going to the DC DB Box. 2. To interconnect the earth points [same as is done with life and neutral cables] in series and only have one cable going to the DC DB Box. Which of the two options are the better choice and is there any matter I've missed? Is there anyone who has addressed this setup - I'd like to see their solution. Thanks.
  4. I have a 5000 Luxpower Hybrid inverter and presently have 9 x 250W - 270W panels connected through one string. Cloudy conditions are causing my batteries [9.6kWH pylon Li-Iron] not to be completely charged during the day and need to use grit power for this purpose. My Average daily use is 11kWH. I decided to upgrade to 5 x 585W panels. That's the max I can put onto my roof. I find the from 14:30 I lose PV power due to my roof not correctly placed to optimize the panels and start to drain my batteries. I have a car port that is such sited that I can fit 4 x 270W panels facing west. This should cater for the loss I incur. They will be coupled to the second PV set string at my Inverter. Is this possible/correct seeing that I use two sets of PV with different watts?
  5. Hi, I am Aubrey Kruger, residing in Klerksdorp, North West, South Africa. I have the following questions: I have 9 x 250W - 270W solar panels. They are coupled 3 x 3 in series and 3 strings in parallelle. I was told that with the SNA5000 I should have all 9 in series and one sting [4 gauge] to connect to the SNA5000 Inverter. Is it true? What size Fuse must I install? What is the best circuit breaker to install between panels and SNA5000? I have 4 Pylon Li-Ion Batteries. 2 x 2000B 2.4kWH. 1 x 2000C 2.4kWH and 1 x 3000C 3.5kWH. The comms is coupled from 3000C to the Inverter. Will this work with the SNA5000?
  6. Is it possible to run this program on linux mint?
  7. Thanks. Am new to this monitoring system. May I ask. How you find the system or your setup? How's your setup compiled. Thanks.
  8. I have a Kodak OGX 5.48a Inverter, 5 Pylon 2.4kWH Batteries and 9 250-270W Solar Panels. I would like to monitor the system using the MultiSIBControl application. Initially I will connect to a laptop [LT] followed a Rasbery-Pi [RPi]. The communication of the inverter to batteries are by means of a RJ45 cable linking the Inverter. The communication Inverter to the LT / RPi is by means of a USB cable. Do I still need to connect the batteries to the LT/RPi with a RS232 or RJ45 cable? [I preferer the RJ45].
