Thanks I will look at upgrading the firmware first and then see how things go

Pylontechs Over Charging
Do you mean "reset" as in set it higher so that what is now showing as 105% will show as 100% after the reset?

Pylontechs Over Charging
Did you get the firmware directly from Pylontech?

Did you upgrade the firmware yourself?

Pylontechs Over Charging
Hi I have three Axpert-type inverters in parallel charging seven Pylontech batteries. I have a Rasberry Pi with ICC software to monitor the system. Yesterday I noticed that my batteries seem to be over charged, ie all are >= 106% charged, as reported on ICC I have attached screenshots of the battery details, my settings and and graphs of the PV and Battery trends through the day. I assume this cannot be good but am not sure what to do. Any ideas? Thanks Johann

Axpert MKS II Parallel Error 72
Hi Steph40 and R79. Has the capacitor sorted your problems out permanently? I have three inverters in parallel and one of them has the same behaviour as described here and am hoping that the capaitor is the solution.

2 x Mecer 5kW-48V Off-Grid inverter II (incl pi with ICC)
Hi Gustav Could you please post a picture of the sticker on the side of the inverters (where the model no, etc, is shown)? Were you using them in parallel?

Axpert PIP-5048MG (SOL-I-AX-5NB) Parallel Problem
Just for completeness, I took my inverters in and all three parallel cards had to be replaced. @Beat: Thanks again but it was just convenient to have them replace all three while they were at it

Axpert "Auto restart when overload occurs" setting
Hi Gnome Setting #6 says "Auto restart when overload occurs" and allows me to enable or disable it. I was simply wondering what happens if the setting is disabled and I would overload the inverter (place to much load on it).

Axpert "Auto restart when overload occurs" setting
Hi I think I understand what will happen when I turn the "Auto restart when overload occurs" setting on--The inverter will restart. However, I am not sure what will happen if I turn it off and an overload occurs. does anyone know?

Axpert PIP-5048MG (SOL-I-AX-5NB) Parallel Problem
Thanks Beat I suspect mine is similar to the smaller one at the top of your picture. I will check and let you know

Axpert PIP-5048MG (SOL-I-AX-5NB) Parallel Problem
Hi I received my inverters back from Mustek after being repaired from lightning damage. However, I cannot get them to work in parallel. There is no error code. One shows HS for master and the other two SL for slaves but the. All of them show the AC in, the battery charges and if I connect the PV it shows on the panel but the image for the "Load" does not show on any of the panels--see image. If I turn them on one, by one, and set it to single mode (setting 28 to SIG) each one works perfectly-- see image Note that these two images were not taken under the same circumstances wrt PV and AC connections. I suspect some problem with the parallel cards (I checked the wiring) but it is a big schlep to remove them and take them back in so I am hoping for some miracle advice from someone here

Axpert PIP-5048MG (SOL-I-AX-5NB) Error Codes 80/82
Thanks Coulomb. It turns out that my manual is not too old--I am. I never checked the part of the manual with the parallel error codes.

Axpert PIP-5048MG (SOL-I-AX-5NB) Error Codes 80/82
We had a heavy storm last night and sometime during the night I woke up and the power was off. I switched back to the grid but two of my three Axpert MKS II 5K -- PIP-5048MG (SOL-I-AX-5NB) inverters now shows error codes alternating between NE 80 and NE 82 continuously. The third inverter seems fine. Any idea what these error codes mean? I cannot find them in the manual. Thanks Johann

SOL-I-AX-5NB software upgrade (How to?)
Lightning struck my system and one inverted was damaged beyond repair. I obtained a new one from Mustek. They promised to ensure that the new one will have the same version of software on it as my other two (71.70). However, after my installer put the new one back in it does not communicate with the other two. It's software version number is 71.80 They said that they will send me the software but I am looking for a description of the steps one takes to upgrade the software. Thanks Johann

Can I connect the SOL-I-AX-5P and the SOL-I-AX-5NB in paralel
Hi Adriaan I do not think you can (but someone with more knowledge will probably give you a definitive answer soon). I have three SOL-I-AX-5-NB's in parallel and when lightning struck and damaged one beyond repair I was advised by Mustek to ensure that the replacement has the same version of software on it.

Buying batteries vs using the grid
Hi Richard As I understand it, a "cycle" is one "charge and discharge" of the battery. A cycle does not have to be one event. Eg, discharging down to 90% and recharging every day will give you one 100% "cycle" in 10 days. If you never go below 20% remaining in the battery you "should" get the 6000 cycles. I think this means that you can "buy R23,040kwh prepaid for R22,995 in today's rands" but you pay extra for the charging part of the cycles (unless you do it purely on solar and you ignore the cost of that part of the infrastructure).

Daily PV system energy production
Interesting to see how other systems are doing. How do you guys manage to not use any power from the grid?
