i am looking for a single phase rail mounted reversible kw meter, not feeding into Muncipality grid, but in our own.... 8 apartments and general external, pool etc can use my surplus solar production, i would like to turm my units back.

trying to understand the manual... what settings to i put in so to have 80 % of my pylontechs available for loadshedding.... and how do i get the inverter to charge my batteries between loadshedding if the sun is not available and force it to use eskom?

keep it on sbu... but set back to grid voltage in your battery parameters to 50v...that will keep you a full battery for loadshedding

what is your solar panel configuration..are you using both mppts. and are you running in SBU mode?

On my Axpert RCT - AXMAX8k, I upgraded main cpu firmware from version 46.02 to 46.05 and remote panel firmware from 12.03 to 12.06. System now running as it should..... using solar more efficiently, approx 40% more solar generated on demand ( before it stayed on bypass most of the time and blended power) now stays on battery mode for most of the day when solar output is higher than usage.

Thank you... But i am looking for a spare unit to keep in rotation... Rectron happy to repair... But it is a 2 to 3 week cycle from st francis bay.

My master unit has lost the display, but it is still working with its paralleled slave unit. I want to purchase a third unit, used in working condition if possible so i can send my unit in for repair but keep my system running.... And in the long term have a spare unit on hand.

Hi guys, i just took delivery of 12 new Canadian Solar - HiKU Poly P5, 430W. They have marks as on the attached pics. The supplier said it won't affect the output. Paid full price from a reputable solar company. I am just concerned. This was their response. ....... I confirm that marks on the panel will insignificantly affect the module's performance. The manufacturer tested and shipped out the modules with those markings. Therefore I can safely confirm that the marks compromise the efficiency of the module won't........ What say the power forum gurus Thank you Kieftus

My RCT max 8k does the same and stays in bypass. If i turn eskom off, it will draw more load from solar, ie force it to use solar first (and the batteries do not augument the load) in SBU mode. It seems to use more eskom than solar.

How can i force the inverter to use more solar (3.5kw available on 1 MPPT) The unit is set to SBU and the two 2.4 pylontechs are set to charge via solar only. It does not seem to use the batteries if there is a shortfall of solar, only if i turn off the utility the system works via the batteries if needed. The system stays in bypass mode 99% of the time. I am going to put in more solar and batteries in the future. I would like to see the system using solar and batteries during peak solar time, say 11 am to 3 pm. Any ideas?

There is no RS232 port on the inverter or on my laptop. Can you link from the watchpower program on the laptop to the inverter via wifi? I am trying to find what version of firmware i am running. Thank you Re back to discharge voltage... Do i have to decrease this number so it uses the battery in SUB mode and not jump to bypass mode?

Made up a bms comm cable.. And pylontechs communication is successfully working, besides the #69 warning. Do you know if there is a later firmware version. Thank you for your advice
