  4. I did contact them and they confirmed that the cable will work. Thanks for all the replies.
  5. Thank you for the replies. Just to confirm. If I do get the cable for the battery, the current cable running to the inverter will still be there. This will just be extra, running to the Pi? I will confirm with SolarAssistant about the battery Series.
  6. I'm going to be upgrading my current battery to a Dyness BX51100 and thought it would be the perfect time to get Solar Assistant as well. I have the 5kw Sunsynk inverter. Looking at the guides on the Solar Asisstant website I will need to get the following: Pi + Software After this things start to get a bit confusing. Can I still use the SunSynk Wi-Fi dongle while using Solar Assistant? I will either have to get the USB to RS232 or USB to RS485 cable for the inverter. How do I know which to get? Do I also need to get a separate cable for the Dyness battery?
  7. Sorry for only replying now. I contacted the person that delivered the inverter and battery at my house. Explained the issue and he then delivered the new cable and also wifi module for me.

I ended up having to delete the data-logger on the app and then adding it back. It is now working again with a blue flashing light.
  9. The one they supplied me with is a black one and have markings on to say which side is inverter and which side is battery. They might come in different colors though.
  10. I had the same issue with the exact same setup. Contact the people you got the inverter from and ask for a replacement comms cable.I know I had a orange cable supplied which didn't work. After installing the replacement cable and switching the inverter to Li mode everything was working fine.
  11. I had the same problem with my growatt inverter + dyness battery. I ended up having to wait 2 weeks for a replacement cable. After plugging in the cable everything was working 100%. Like said by francois, you could also try to make a cable using the configurations in the manual. I know we tried and that didn't work. But that can just be something we did wrong.

Have you been able to sort out your data-logging issues? I have had a Growatt SPF 5000TL HVM-WPV with a Dyness B3 3.6Kwh battery running now for just over a month. Yesterday morning at 00:10 was the last time that I received any data on the website. I removed the WiFi dongle last night and added it back. This morning I switched the inverter to USE and then back to Li mode but none of this seemed to help at all. The WiFi dongle (ShineWIFI-S running firmware version 1.7.6.6) just keeps on flashing a green light which according to all the manuals seems to mean that all is in working order.
