  1. My 2 x 12v 200Ah second-life batteries are working well after 8 months
  2. I am using 2x Revov 2nd life 200ah 12v batteries. The batteries work well, and their service is great. I am looking to increase that to 4.
  3. One of Revov's resellers has some for R10 300. Call Kiyo from Battery and Solar Boys on 082 920 7355
  4. Try these: https://futurama.co.za/catalog/product/view/id/51974/s/revov-2nd-life-battery-12-8v-200ah-2-56kwh/ https://www.sustainable.co.za/products/revov-2nd-life-200ah-12v-2-56kwh-lifepo4-battery
  5. I got Revovs from Energytechstore. They are based in Gauteng. https://energytechstore.co.za/energy-storage/12v-24v-lithium-batteries/

I spoke to Carina, in Sales at Revov, who was quite helpful in confirming the reseller I purchased from. I bought my revov batteries from www.energytechstore.co.za. They have C8 batteries. https://energytechstore.co.za/product/revov-c8-life-11-2kwh-system-catl-set-with-canbus-bms/
  7. I am considering it, Piet.
  8. Worth a consideration, then. Thanks.
  9. Thank you. I saw a hubble balancer at Geewiz for R1000.
  10. Agreed. I ultimately aim to upgrade to a 5kW system, but the batteries are no plying ball.
  11. I have 2 12V batteries connected in series.
  12. Yes, I have a Mecer 24V 3kva Inveter.
  13. Thank you. How do I get around lack of BMS issue? Would I need to get a separate adapter? Also, The Hubble needs a balancer. Does the same apply to the Mecer? Have you heard of a brand called Rentech?
  14. HI, I am looking at replacing my AGM 2x100ha batteries with lithium ion batteries. The batteries are connected to a Mecer 3kva inverter. I am considering the Hubble Lithium S-120 12.8V 1.5kWh ( I am open to alternative suggestions). May I get some advice with regard to the cell balancer that this battery requires? Thank you.

Hi, Have any of you heard of, or had experience with, the rentech brand of batteries?
  16. I haven't either. I have a lot to learn here. Thanks Coulomb.
  17. Hi, I have a Mecer 3kVa with a builtin 600W MPPT and 3x 200W poly panels. They were initially attached to 2x100Ah Oliter Gels, which failed within the first year. They were replaced with Enertec. My installer suggested this as a replacement. I have attached a picture of my installation as well Rentech-24V-Rack-Mounted-Li-ion-Battery-v4.pdf
  18. Thanks, Kalahari.
  19. I see. Thanks. I shall do that. Have you heard of this brand, by the way, or know much about it?
  20. HI Kalahari. I have a 3Kva Mecer inverter, with a builtin 600wMPPT controller, and 3x 200W Poly solar panels. The proposed replacement battery is a Rentech 25.6V 100Ah Rack-Mounted Lithium-Ion Battery - (2.56kWh) with Battery Management System
  21. Hi. This battery was suggested as a replacement for my current set of Enertec batteries(2x 100ah). Are they any good?
  22. Hi. This battery was suggested as a replacement for my current set of 2x 100ah batteries. Are they any good?
  23. Would this work for you? I have one and I am happy with it. https://www.takealot.com/taroma-solar-motion-sensor-wall-light-1000-lm/PLID69406830
  24. I would like to convert my existing outdoor security spotlights (10w and 20w) to work independently off solar power. Is this feasible? If so, how do I go about calculating what I would need to convert these spotlights? Ideally, I would like to connect them to one circuit, or together, as opposed to individually.
  25. Thank you. I will have them tested.
