hi, the problem was the original cable which was no longer communicating with the battery. i had to build another cable using new config.

@TT5, where you able to resolve your issue. I just moved from Growatt to Deye and I am experiencing the same issue as well. I changed the CT to point the other direction and nothing happened then I changed it back. My CT is pointing to the inverter direction. Will appreciate your feedback.

Sorry Jeff for the late response. Fortunately I have not had any problems with my 500.12 for the past 8 months. My inverter fan has been working quite well.

SUB is not available on SPF5000TL. Only on ES inverters

Try upgrading first to 500.09 and also update your comms and BMS firmware . if it still does not work, check your cable connections id they are all tide.

Hi Strauss, Out of interest, I saw that your battery reaches 99%. Does it ever reach 100%? Mine never reach 100%. Always around 99%. If I run everything on battery, it does go down and when I bring back power, it charges upto 99 percentage. Will like to hear your view...

Thank you for your response. 1. Still not working. Is your baud rate dip switch setup to 9600 on the battery? 2. Cable connection is Inverter- BMS -------> Battery RS485? Cables us testing fine with only 3 pins on both sides. Maybe there is something wrong with my BMS board. Thank you anyway

I tried that and maybe I amissing something. Please see my pins for both battery and inverter. I tried the layout exactly, I think so🤔 Will appreciate your assistance.

Hi J5-immortal, Do you mind sharing your inverters US2 settings. I am using USE settings and I feel it might not be the same as US2. My battery is US3000 x 1 connected to 1 x Growatt SPF5000 HVM

Hello, I tried to update my Growatt inverter firmware to 500.008 and it failed. Now it continues to get stuck after it erases the hard drive. It does not continue to the next package. I tried to follow the instructions regarding failure couple of times with no luck. Has anyone ever experience the same problem and how did you overcome it. Currently inverter is not working and the lights on the screen are off however, if you run the tool to upgrade, it picks it up, erases the hard drive then get stuck on send... Hope to hear from anyone. Thank you

Hi Can you advise what your current firmware version is. We had loadshedding on Thursday evening and inverter was working well for about 1:50 minutes until I switched on the kettle and immediately the inverter tripped and displayed error message 04 and 20. Since then, the inverter is displaying the error message even after few reboots. Had to change my settings 05 from Li to Use. I suspect the problem might have to do with commutation error maybe resulting in inverters firmware version.
