I spoke to my supplier today whilst doing firmware updates across my bank. I've got 3 100AH LifePO4 batts in parallel which have been serving me well. I recently noticed the master/primary batt is dropping lower than the other 2. I didnt see this as normal, hence me being on the line. I was I formed this is normal and no issues found. Apparently the master batt will always take more load than the other 2. Doesn't this defeat the purpose of a bank? Shouldn't all 3 stay equalized on the way down? What's the use hammering 1 battery to supply, and then having 2 of equal rating supplementing? Wouldn't this kill the first battery way ahead of schedule ? Doesn't make sense.

So I MUST use a crappy installer? Useless frauds they are. No thanks. Skip!

Have disconnected this and not in use. Looking for a buyer. Was installed 2020. Not in use for over a month. still works a well - however with my new brand can’t use. Not sure about guarantee - it may be carried over to the new owner - call em to find out I suppose. make me an offer - will seriously consider it - just hanging in my garage and hopefully can help someone who needs that extra little bit to get off grid. photos available on request - same charge ranges as BSL. So probably just rebranded BSL , dunno.

Hi All, so the last 2 days both inverters flashing 4 , low battery. Testing the voltages across the bank all is fine. 04 flashing even while floating. anyone seen this or can advise how to reset this error? Your help would be appreciated.

These same people refused to issue a coc on their work too, which I had to pay for separately now. They are in Witbank and couldnt be bothered to drive that way. I don’t think they really care whose property it is, probably just deny they took it anyways, this seems to be quality of the people we live with now. in any event I managed to get hold of some helpful people at Segen so am hoping to receive a cable at some point. I had another Kodak axpert inverter installed, with a new string. turns out the “installer” installed an inverter with firmware out of sync with the existing one. As with all installers I’ve tried, money has moved, no f}%% are given. Zero support. G0d this country. Next change I do myself. Installers really are sharks but hey, trust no one , my fault. anyways, I need to get the firmware’s in sync and obviously don’t have cables as these cowboys didn’t leave any cables behind. So I need cables to update the firmware. will this work? CE-LINK USB to Rj45 (Rs232) Console (Ft232rl) 1.83m Cable On takealot. Any assistance is appreciated.

Hi gents, searching for this topic. Found 7,836 results first few pages are irrelevant. so I’ve got 2 of the Kodak axpert mks2 in parallel, and watchpower is proving to be pretty useless. I see I can enable wifi on these, but am struggling to find a solution that can give inverter totals across both. Any ideas? Would prefer to get a monitoring solution with an app if possible. So, as usual, ask the community.

Can anyone advise on solar installers in the JHB area? The quotes im getting seem crazy. Im expanding a 8 panel kodaks mks2 system with another inverter and 6 more panels.

Hmm, I wonder why mine are set to 52-54. sorry for spamming you, but how would I calculate what my battery percentage is on these cells? i.e 10% - 49v, 20% - 50 etc. I’ve googled and pulled down tables that are quite conflicting.

Correct, that’s exactly what they said. They also refused to disclose the manufacturer. Dodgy. so they’ve also said they float to 3.4v per cell, which seems low as per your previous input? Or is this fine for these cells? I’m curious about the bulk as well. If the 58 bulk and float are correct then I can then assume the settings on the inverter are correct ? as they won’t tell me who made these cells I’m thinking they just cheap CE, which would mean I’ve been ripped yet again by these people on battery too.
