I c a few posts that the HO Select cells are not litium can anyone who have repaired these pick and pay batteries please tell me where to get the cells from and what type of cell is this? and how would i balance the battery again? I am a electrician so im good with bieng handy

So a while back i got a pair of HO select batteries it took me a while to figure out the pinouts to communicate with the sunsynk but i got it working in the end. But as with every cheapy pick and pay battery looks like the previous owner messed up the cells. Is there anyone that can repair these batteries?

Hi there i have 2 brand new items still in packaging I bought the gx touch 70 with a Victron EasySolar but the EasySolar already has a venus onboard so i never used the GX touch. I broke the seal on it and the supplier didnt wanna take it back. I also have a new wall mount for the gx but yet again inside the gx touch70 there is a wall mount so i have a extra loose one im looking for R4500 on the GX touch and then R250 on the wall mount

I hope theres someone that can help me. I have a client with a current Victron install they have a 45kw generator on site aswell. They would like to start the generator at a certain battery percentage and let the generator charge the batteries. The generator has a Smartgen controller installed. Im just not sure which aux inputs I can use. And is there a certain setting i have to change on the generator. Another problem i have where is the best pace to connect to on the inverter? Or will it be a better option to go to the colour control?

Hi guys So my wife is a conveyancer yesterday she got a transfer where the guy was fined R20 000 for not registering his solar. Last time i tried to help a client out with this it was a nightmare to get it right. Has anyone tried to register there solar and what is your take on this?

I need some advice from someone who knows the kodak off grid inverters. A clients insall Is running a kodak off grid 5kw inverter with a fox 2.56kWh battery & 6Panels So when Eskom power is on with a hybrid system i now that when you go over your 5kw threshold it substitutes from eskom to not overload. Now Off grids im new to. This off grid when its on eskom and theres a overload it overloads the unit why doesnt it substitute from eskoms side? I heard a few theories but i would like to now for sure. What is the transfer switch size on the 5kw off grid inverter? The other thing it could be is overloading of the battery cause the battery size is smaller than the inverter.

Hi guys have a bit of a wierd issue. So my client overloaded his system with a Iron only certain plugs are on essential but the cleaning lady didnt now so she plugged the iron in. So after the overload the battery gave a alarm. There are no errors on the inverter at all its charging and discharging like it should but the ALM light stays on. I have tried a few restarts on the system but i have no luck any idea what i can do to reset this ALM light on the Giter? System Specs: 3.24 OG Plus Giter 2500 Battery

Im having a similar issue on a og3kva but mine doesnt charge at all. Also tried updating the firmware via usb and rs232 no luck im taking it in today will come back and tell you guys what fixed it

I really need help i dunno where i am going wrong. A client of mine is running a ggiter battery with a 3Kva kodak. It will not charge at all. on the screen when everthing is up and running there is no charging current. its showing its charging but it wont charge at all can anyone help me out and tell me why it wont charge?

Hi Don Im just guessing here. Tell me quick how many panels do you have on and what size are they? On the side of your inverter is a rating plate with a Mpp Voltage range of lets say 90-520V A normal 380W panel has a voltage of 41V for example and the startup of that inverter is 90V Maybe you voltage on the panels are to low to sustain the house and charge the batteries

I have done plenty installs but never have a i been asked to register the system. The body corporate is already on board with the installation but the registration is kicking my ass. I always say i can deal with alot of technical things but when it comes to working with a third party like the government or someone thats not willing to help then im screwed

Hi there So i have a client from CT that has a place in fairie glen that his renting out. He wants me to install the system but i need to register with tshwane. I sent in all the relevant docs but they not getting back to me and there numbers just ring or they not active any idea on turn around times with registering a system? or maybe someone that i could call?

So ii made a seperate db in the garage with a main switch, Inverter supply and then change over. The Main Switch will feed to the DB inside the house where all the loads are located

12 x 360W Panels (2strings of 6each) 1 x 4.6kW Kodak Hybrid 7KwH Force L1 Batteries I havent done a essential non essential split on the board yet cause i wasnt pulling more than 5kW yet.

So the system i did in stages with the panels i had absolutely no troubles. Then on my second stage i did more panels and then the batteries. So heres my issue. Since i installed the battery i get a very wierd power drop. So if i turn on the panels and the battery no grid. I will look at the inverter i will be pushing about lets say 2kW then suddenly its as if theres a dip in the power the lights will go off and on and if you look at the inverter the power dips from 2kW to about 0.05kW so theres no overload. MY elevated voltage was at 100V but i sorted that out with a neutral & earth Bridge. SO i dunno i have double checked everything and cant see why the power will have such a dip. I got everything from segensolar so im not having much luck with there techies. Has anyone had this before?
