September 11, 20214 yr Hi there I have a MUST 5KVA Inverter, but am concerned that the priority setting may not be working correctly. Currently it is set to SBU (Solar, Battery, Utility). As a test I turned on the kettle and it appears that that the load is coming from mains / utility. The only time I notice that the inverter takes on the load is if I drop power completely from the mains supply. Is there another setting I may be missing? I know there is a battery setting in the menu, which has some impact on the priority setting. Edited September 11, 20214 yr by Sheyn

It sounds like maybe the battery voltage is sagging too much, so it bypasses to utility power. Also check any back to utility type settings. Make sure that the battery type setting agrees with the type of battery that you have.

September 11, 20214 yr SUB switches off the PV when batteries are fully charged. SBU seems to work better when batteries charge quickly. SBU works best on undersized systems and on cloudy days With the amount of sun we are getting we are all gonna need inverters with grid feedback and for our municipalities to allow grid feedback. My municipality still sends people to read meters so I have been avoiding getting an inverter with grid feedback to avoid them arriving to see the meter spinning in the wrong direction. Anyway to your question the sun rises earlier ,batteries charge up earlier. My suggestion is to change to SBU. Edited September 11, 20214 yr by Buyeye

September 11, 20214 yr Author No problem at all thanks. I have also just noticed on the inverter display that it is showing as "bypass" The description in the manual suggests that this indicates the load is supplied by utility power
