Posted January 13, 20223 yr My lightswitches don't have a neutral. To add them I am guessing the following: Turn off mains Take off switch cover and light fixture etc Insert fish tape into conduit until it pops up at the light fixture Attach black 1.5mm wire to fish tape and pull it down Twist the new black wire together with the existing neutral at the light and reattach i haven't used a fish tape before but i assume i just buy one at the local hardware.
January 17, 20223 yr You could also get the switches that don't require a neutral - you will have to install a capacitor though but they work with no issues https://eiferer.co.za/collections/eachen/products/eachen-wifi-smart-touch-switch-l-rf-us-ewelink-app?variant=29388654772268
January 17, 20223 yr I am not an electrician but if you run a wire I would NOT run a black wire, run an earth (bare copper) wire or a yellow/green wire. Ignore this I didn't read your post properly. DOH! Edited January 17, 20223 yr by Thunderdolt ignorance
