March 6, 20224 yr I've been working on some custom PCBs for ESP Home stuff, and I'm curious if there'd be any interest in stuff like this. One will be a COM Port to ESP Converter for Axpert/Home Assistant. The other is a dual power meter(Up to 100A) current meter/4Relay outputs and a Voltmeter with 4 Relay Outputs. It's fun stuff to play with.

March 7, 20224 yr Author About every 15 to 30 seconds. So not "real time" but close enough to not matter
March 7, 20224 yr That could be VERY useful. Depending on which inverter I end up going with (currently a toss up between Growatt, Sunsynk & Luxpower), I'd definitely be interested. What kind of price are we looking at?
March 7, 20224 yr Author I haven't done the work yet to get a rralistic estimate but in my professional opinion, I'd say about R500 including the ESP
March 8, 20224 yr "The other is a dual power meter(Up to 100A) current meter/4Relay outputs and a Voltmeter with 4 Relay Outputs." This sounds like a very interesting "toy" to play around with. I might be able to do interesting things with it, if I understand your description correctly. More info might be helpful.
March 8, 20224 yr Author That was the first board I did a layout on. I'd need to do some drivers for ESP Home for it but I think it could work

April 11, 20224 yr Author So the next board I'm going to design is a adapter board for those old efergy CTs. I tested it soldering the resistors directly to the board, and it's working pretty great.
May 1, 20224 yr Author First prototype! Learned some lessons, made some mistakes.(Not working yet.) It also has a little jumper so you can directly communicate with the inverter if you wish. Edited May 1, 20224 yr by Adagio

September 25, 20223 yr Author Working on a new board that integrates the Axpert RS232 interface with a coulomb counter. Ordering proto PCB this week!

Just be warned, the axpert battery current acquisition has only an accuracy to the nearest amp (1A) so battery coulomb counting yield very dissapointing results.

I'm not using the inverter's current readings. They are all over the place. I have a dedicated chip I'll be using.
October 18, 20223 yr How's it going with this topic? I have developed some software for the Esp32 to manage my cheap generic hybrid inverter , would be interested in getting it to work on your board. Do you have the max232 on board to convert the rs232 signals to TTL because wiring up the external max232 is a pain! I also need i2c headers with power for a small oled display I connect which shows the device ip address and some basic inverter info.
