January 25, 20179 yr Does anyone know who supplies a 50l or 80l low pressure EV geyser? I need one for the kitchen basin, but no luck in finding one. I have seen them, advertised from time to time. Joburg or west rand preferably.
January 25, 20179 yr @DeepBass9 I got my 200l geaser form The Sun Pays in Cullinan. Prices were good and I see they do have a 50l unit. I was considering to get one for the kitchen as well so if you do get from them let me know how they do. Here is the prices from thier site: lose Coupled Low Pressure System - Black and White Series 5 Year guarantee 12 Tubes per 100L Gravity system Includes the tank, stand and the tubes Excludes the auxiliary tank For electrical backup the element can be used either with the thermostat or the SR609 Required components Auxiliary tank 5L, 6 Bar- R489.00 or Latco Valve - R351.00 Optional Components Element - R105.00 Thermostat - R262.00 SR609 - R1095.00 50L Low Pressure System 6 Tubes - 65L in total R2 714.91R3 095.00 100L Low Pressure System 12 Tubes - 130L in total- Out of stockR3 504.39 R3 995.00 150L Low Pressure System 18 Tubes - 200L in totalR4 820.18R5 495.00 200L Low Pressure System 24 Tubes - 260L in total R7 100.88R8 095.00 250L Low Pressure System 30 Tubes - 325L in total R8 328.95R9 495.00
February 21, 20179 yr @PaulF007 Did you use the SR609C geyser controller as well? If so, what did you use to connect the controller to your geyser element?
February 22, 20179 yr Hi @SilverNodashi The controller it self has a place where you connect the geaser to it and the it self connect to a socket in the house. There is a lekker LONG cable supplied with the controller that gets connected to the temp an level probe of the controller, Remember that the element supplied is only 1.5 kw so a normal socket should word ok.

Ok, let me ask you differently, which geyser element do you have? The screw in one with the two screws to attach wires, or the smaller one with the two push in terminals?
February 22, 20179 yr LOL let me answer you differently , it is the one that I got with the geaser. BUT it was a screw in one. I bought the whole kit from them. It seemed like a stock standard element to me at the time.

So I have a Kwikot element, which has push in terminals, instead of screw terminals. i.e. like this: http://www.appliancespares.co.za/Images/Products/28105.jpg and https://encrypted-tbn1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTV70pYjl9i8nR9-N6_8t7FIcjT6l4EWVQ6y--dGygVO_Sh0FCc I am not very fond of just pushing terminals in there, but it seems that's the only way?
February 22, 20179 yr Personally I also prefer the screw in ones. But you have to make do with what you have ..

Did you get the low pressure one? Is the Low Pressure one still rated at 400KPA? Edited July 16, 20196 yr by d3nominat0r
July 20, 20196 yr @d3nominat0r - so far so good. Cant complain but keep in mind that the Geyser can not handle any pressure. 400KPA will pop it like a baloon .
July 20, 20196 yr Author No, a low pressure geyser is essentially under no pressure as it is open via a vent pipe on top. It works in the same was as a toilet cistern, with a valve to top it up again when the water level drops. The water runs out under gravity, compared to a high pressure system which is at the same pressure as the water inlet and the water pushes through. Edited July 20, 20196 yr by DeepBass9
