Jon Heeger Posted April 8, 2022 Posted April 8, 2022 I'm trying to avoid problems previously posted where master invertors on Axpert/Kodak systems rejected generator inputs in times of 'darkness' . I'm totally off-grid with 16x330W panels , 3x5kW inverters and 4 off Pylontech 3000 batteries. So the question is what the best-value options are for a portable generator that will produce stable enough outputs (voltage, frequency and lack of harmonics) to do the job ? All advice appreciated Quote

Coulomb Posted April 26, 2022 Posted April 26, 2022 Consider generators with an in-built inverter. I imagine that these are more expensive, but since you're totally off-grid, you need reliability, so you should not be looking at the very lowest price end of the market anyway. Quote
Gino Deye Posted May 15, 2022 Posted May 15, 2022 Does anyone know if a Mac Afric 5kw silent type diesel generator will work with a 8kw sunsynk inverter ie is the voltage and frequency stable enough for sunsynk inverter to accept it? Quote
